Karting challenge to all attending 7stock
 

I issue a challenge to any and all people's going to sevenstock. Friendly challenge at the kart track like 15-20 minutes away from the Mazda HQ:

It's all in good fun, but i'd like to rent out the track, or all of us show up and challenge eachother. Anyone game? This is for people who will actually be going to 7stock and having a good time, and out to enjoy yourselves. The Fetish Freak challenges all at this event :)

If you want to race gas powered cars you can go to Dromo1 which is about 15 minutes away. I have never been to K1.

Nothing is more fun (aside from an actual road course) than a kart track for gearheads :icon_tup:

It does not matter to me. I heard the K1 cars are faster but they are electric motors. I have been to dromo1 quite a few times and its always fun. I say just stick with the original plan for K1. Maybe if everybody is game we can do both. There are lots of places to do some drinking in walking distance from Dromo1 but you have to drive somwhere if you are going to K1.

I'd be hell keen but i'm going to the Banquet.

Seeing as how you are flying from Australia, I will bust my bollocks to make sure it's on a friday.

Is everyone ok with it being on a friday? My flight arrives at 10am Pacific time, and i'd be willing to do it friday. . . :)

It depends on what time you have in mind. I get off work at 4pm

Anytime after 7pm. the later the better honestly. That way it gives you guys (locals) time to get off work and kick back for a little? If you want later i can as well, since i'll be on vacation and have no set schedule.

oh man i'd love to be able to go to SS and race some karts....but it'll never happen unfortunately....one of you BETTER get this on video or you are all banned.

Historically the Friday night even has always been a big karting meet at dromo1 i beleive. i'm down, but I would need a ride from the Doubletree, I'm not renting a car until Sunday.


One a related note, if anyone wants to goto Magic Mountain (the amusement park, not a sexual metaphor) on Sunday let me know.

same stellar management team that ran that place in the ground is running Magic Mountian.

I grew up going to AstroWorld and it makes me sad when I think about it being torn down.

:( Astroworld (pours out a 40) I actually worked (Rides/Pyrotech) out there as a kid, 3 of the best years of my life. Being 16-18 and possessing "a little bit of game" as the kids would say made picking up females as easy as shooting fish in a barrel.

Yea, I live in Bellaire now, so I pass by that vacant patch of land often. I still get pissed about it. Actually I did hear about Del and some others moving out there. Yoou know shortly after the deal was worked out to scrap AW, the old CEO and his cronies got ousted, sadly it was too late for Hofheinz's dream.

I miss Texas Cyclone most of all, as a former member of ACE I have ridden 100s of coasters and I swear that Cyclone was one of the most intense rides from start to finish. Tillman Fertitta has built a new woody out on the Kemah boardwalk however, maybe I will give it a try.

I just happen to be attending Magic Mountain on the Sunday also...

We only have 1 rollercoaster in my whole state and its REAL lame...

So i'm gonna freak when I get to MM.

Yea, i was planning on having drinks with yall and what not afterwards, regardless of the race. More or less just hang out with you guys and get to know yall better. Heck i was thinking grab dinner at a place with an open bar after the races and what not.

I don't know the area at all though, so that'd be up to you guys. I'm all for whatever :)

A loooong time joke, like here in the states, the foster logo was "Fosters, Austrailian for beer"

However when we drank it for the first time, we spit it out and was like "Fosters, Australian for queers" :lol:

Ha Fosters!, we did the same thing over here with Budweiser "the king of beers" bullshit!!!!.... that crap tastes like Fosters (ie Cats piss!)

Have you checked with the SoCal RX Club? LC and others usually put together a little go-karting action Friday night at DROMO1 near Anaheim stadium of K1 (can't remember). Anyway, either way is fine with me. Just want to make sure that two groups aren't planning competing events without knowledge of each other's efforts. Should be a blast!!!!

It does not matter to me either way. Dromo1 is closer to my house anyways. I dont know about K1 but if its your first time at Dromo1 you have to sit through a stupid little movie before you race so I would plan on trying to get there 20 min early.

Plus they dont take kindly to rubbing and having a few drinks before the races (dont ask me how i know)

Sounds like the "Best of" the lounge rats are showing up for some fun.
