As soon as I find out for sure either way, I will let you guys know. I would be down for any of those prices really, but the $80 would take quite a long time.

I mean realistically I wont be following chris. Chris will be trying to keep up with me. but that’s a moot point he already knows this.

And 50 plus laps is A LOT. After like 20 I start getting bored. But I also have the attention span of a gnat so w/e.

You have a lot of hope and faith in your skills, specially for a woman. Even Takuma Sato has more wins than Danica Patrick does, and she's got it easier. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOH SNAP

jhammons01 08-01-07 01:43 PM

Long time????

What are you guys talking about?

I bet it takes 38 seconds to get around that track. I don't have any real DATA I'm just guessing. But at that rate a 12 lap practice session is over in 10 minutes

Each heat will take less than 15 minutes and the final will take prolly another 15 minutes.

Honestly, $80 bux for that little amount of track time is on the border of being a good deal or not.

We'll be done in just over an hour......I can talk trash for at least two hours.....

No dice, have a friend's wedding to go to friday that won't end until 10 friday night.

Because it's really hard for all the male drivers to compete with one hand on the wheel...

Who moved the thread? Complete and total weakness.

WAS:12A 08-02-07 03:52 AM

I'll have a chat with the missus tonight, but we should be good for the $80 package.

Just remember when you make up the entrant list that its: WAS:12A (x2...she's racing too!).

Cam...

RedR1 08-02-07 07:33 AM

Cool, so far for the $80.00 package its:

RedR1 x's 2
Was:12A x's 2
Backyard SOG
HamHam

So all we need are two more, right?

WAS:12A 08-02-07 09:12 AM

Had a chat with the missus, were in.

We have paypal too, so were sorted if thats how were gonna do the payments.

I too have paypal. all we need to do is confirm 2 more people, then we can reserve the track for the endurance karting :bigok:

I can't wait!!

Only thing I don't like about this place is the electric Karts. Those things suck balls compared to gas powered units, but anyways, for the joy of schooling some people, I'm game for the $80. Somehow I will make it with the 7.

With the $80 package we better get the full course, or a least request it.

I'm in, but I dunno if I wanna spend $80 bucks that's like 4 lapdances. :bigthumb:

jhammons01 08-03-07 03:14 PM

As far as paypal is concerned, you paypal me directly. I'll make the reservations at K1 and pay them in advance.

How many are in for the loser....er.....lower level of $45?

We can do two heats.....some at the $80 and some at the $45 and all can be there to watch and razz the others.

FelixIsGod29X 08-03-07 05:15 PM

ny karting

Damn i wish i could go to that! I used to go-kart comer80 engines for 3 years and was second in the new york state challenge(would have won but chain broke on final lap and final turn). Its cool though because that day i set a track record during qualifying at the Long island, Westhampton go-kart track. I won points championship 2 years in a row. Then started yamaha kt-100's which i was ok at. Sucks the track closed down. Greatest thing is i was racing a kid named matt lee who had a father that owns a construction company. He had 5 spare motors,a mechanic, a HUGE trailer. I had 1 spare motor a ford f-150 truck and a dad that was willing to do anything for me to win the races. I always wanted to race then move up and up till i made it to formula mazda or F1. Sucks money is gone and to much time has gone by to really start racing, plus i got to go to MMI in a year so theres no point.

WAS:12A 08-06-07 10:40 PM

Updates?

If $80 is too steep i'm happy to go for a lower price so we can get the numbers to make a booking...I just don't wanna have to try and organise this thing from way over here!:)

Cam...

Heisenberg 08-07-07 09:14 AM

Sounds like $80 turned a few people off. I am game for the $45 races if thats what majority wants.

RedR1 08-07-07 01:50 PM

Let us know what is what. WAS:12A, i know both you and I were game for the $80, as well as our misses. . . . i know Backyard SOG and HamHam were. . . we needed two people. . .. but i am still gave for the $45.00 as well.

I wish we could throw this thread back in the lounge to gather more interest. . . bc that area has the highest traffic :(

WAS:12A 08-07-07 08:05 PM

Alright so if we change it to the "Mini Grand Prix" at $45 per person, who's in???

We need at least 8 people.

1) WAS12A
2) Miss's WAS12A
3)
4)
5)
6)
7)
8)

Come on people! If this doesn't get organised i'm going to the Pub instead to get drunk...

Cam...

DrKillJoY 08-07-07 11:58 PM

1) WAS12A
2) Miss's WAS12A

WAS:12A 08-11-07 10:51 PM

WAS:12A 08-29-07 08:49 AM

OK seeing as trying to organise everyone to group book and pay beforehand has gone down the shitter.

Here's the ROUGH plan for anyone and everyone whos interested.

A group of us who are staying at the Doubletree Hotel will meet out the front at around 7-7.15PM on the Friday night for some karting action.

Depending on how many turn up, we'll organise how to get to the track and organise some racing when we get there...ie how many laps/races/etc/etc.

Everyone who is keen is welcome to either meet us at the hotel or track shortly there after...

Hope everyone can make it!!!!!

Cam...

Like I said its a rough plan to meet out the front of the Doubletree Hotel around 7-7.15PM and take it from there, any and all other ideas are still open for discussion, so put forward any ideas!

Heya Mate! As the Aussie bloke that's just as fat and short as I am above me state. . . :D . . . we tried to organize a pay pal thing where we would get the track to ourselves, but that failed. So, the plan is now to meet out front of the double tree where everyone is staying at for 7stock at around 7-7:30. From there, we were going to head on out to K1.

You know, reading Cam's post, he said everything I was going to,

So yes, Peter, we look forward to hanging out with you! Afterwards, we were going to go to the Irvine Spectrum, where Cam was going to show us how to drink real Australian beer. Fosters. That and have dinner and just get to know eachother, and things like that!

When the time gets closer, pm me and i'll send you my cell number, so you can call me if needed.

Bern 08-29-07 11:25 PM

The official Friday night SS-10 activity, for those interested...

RacerX7fb 08-30-07 01:25 AM

Thank you Bern for posting.

Folks it is happening once again. The Friday night SSX challenge and fundraiser at K1 SPEED! Go head to head against Mazda Corporate employees and your friends! Last year Kobayakawa-san even brought his own helmet! I'm sure he'll be there again too!

This will be a night of fun and proceeds go to a good cause, the JDRF. Details to follow.

RedR1 08-30-07 10:14 AM

Well, count me out of the "official" event. I won't even be in Irvine until 6:45-ish (flying out from florida). Most people i talked to will still be at work at 5, or just getting off, and wanted to go home for a few hours to relax and freshen up.

I am all for supporting the 5:00 official rally, especially since it is for a good cause, but i will still be sticking to my original plan of meeting others at 7:00-7:30 at the double tree.

WAS:12A 08-30-07 04:16 PM

^^^Ditto, have no probs supporting the "official" event, it's just not gonna fit with our schedule for that day...sorry.

The girlfriend and I will be meeting at the hotel at 7-7.30PM...

Cam...

RacerX7fb 08-30-07 10:35 PM

The 5 PM time is slated for Mazda employees who will be getting off from work and heading directly there. The festivities will go on til around 9 o'clock or so there's time!

Bern 09-17-07 05:59 PM

Don't forget it's this Friday!!

-Bern

ddub 09-20-07 12:47 AM

My friend and I will be staying at the doubletree and will be checking in sometime in the afternoon most likely. We'll find our way out in front of the hotel at 7 to see what's up, we might go, but if we do we'll need a ride or a cab heh.

shineautoproject 09-21-07 05:27 PM

You still got my number Chris??/
