Not hating on anyone... Mazda has it's HQ and design studios in So-Cal... way out west! This is one of the most important elements for SevenStock!! Book your flight... it's really an experience one should enjoy at least once!

We are again trying to get some activity for this year... so will see on the auto-X, or drag. No promises...

It'd love to caravan from Detroit, but unfortunately we've got class... I'd also like to extend a thank you to whoever moved 7stock from september to october as they've managed to drop it right in the midst of our school term. On a separate note, you've now got a third of my fraternity skipping classes and flying to LA Who needs school anyway...

lots of us have school, heck some of the people I know are going are grad students and professors even. never the less this is the date that works best for the people organizing an event. we should all be thankful that Berny and the SoCal club are willing to tame this beast of an event for antoerh year.

I'm not really upset, I understand the reasoning... it just sucks for me and few other guys. No biggie. Besides. now I'll just get drunk and miss class in another state.

now that's the spirit!!! Any date we chose would have had issues for someone.... we needed to work with racer and Mazda schedules, so the dates we have are very limited and the October date was the one with the least conflicts and headaches, so here it is.... OCTOBER 8th... apologies to all who are inconvenienced by this date, but we all hope you come out regardless!!!!

All i know is daydreaming about rotaries in class is less productive than seeing rotaries in person in beautiful california.

I'm kind of in the same position, but it's no big deal. Last year I didn't have any Friday classes, this year I will. I'll only miss two, and if I can't miss them, I'll just have to get a later flight. Nobody really started arriving until later Friday afternoon/evening anyway.

That's so awesome! I've only had my FC for a month, but I want to go to SevenStock soooo bad! Unfortunately that little thing called my freshmen year of college will be in the way... oh well, at least there's a rotary convention in Wisconsin this summer.

If by any chance you're a mechanical engineering student, go to seven stock instead of class. You learn alot more about dynamics, heat transfer, fluids, etc from talking to gear heads then reading any text book. Besides, there will be plenty of opportunities to skip class for a bad reason, but how many opportunities will there be to skip class for a good reason.

Well thanks to the guys at Drift Avenue Shop in Orland Pk IL my 84 GSL-SE is running again with a new slave unit and clutch cylinder. It's been in the garage for the last 3 years so I'm heading to Road America in Aug for the Midwest Rotary Rally and I'm hoping to make 7 stock this year just turned 41,000 miles on my black beauty so the trip will help break it in.
