hehe, too funny don!!! i have to put the cavers helmet project on the bench for a while so i can drive MY car.

im ordering the lights this week and should be able to do the fitting this weekend. itll be a tight schedule. . . it may end up being JUST the headlights and no bezel at that time. just depends on how much time i can get off to do this.

 

My car is fine, and currently under the knife as well. Gotta lotta stuff to do before Deals Gap.

 

well i picked up my "new" 2nd this weekend so ill be driving it up there. GAR ill try to make it to your house a little early.

Well, it's official, my engine is SHOT!!! Lost compression on my way to work. Driving along in 5th gear about 3K then very big hesitation, a trail of smoke and it ran like crap so made a detour to my mom's since it was on my way. It quit just as I pulled in her driveway and rolled on in. After work I went to check it out and there is absolutely NO compression from either rotor. Well, it's D.O.A. at 114666...

 

holy crap don!!!! that sucks. . . but well. . . we all KNEW it was coming, right? the story sounds interesting. too bad there isnt any video of it!!! i bet it would be a pretty cool little movie.

Well, I just got a call YESTERDAY and I'm leaving for basic on Tuesday (I'll be in Nashville Monday) so I'm not going to be able to join all of you. Sorry about that, this was really short notice for me and I'm a bit on the overwhelmed side.

 

well. . . where are you going for basic training? i went to ft. knox. that place was FUN. im guessing ft. jackson. . . that place used to be very lax, but rumor has it that its now the worst one to go to.

nashville on monday? i guess youll be staying the night in the hotel down the road from MEPS. haha, partytime!!!

 

Well, I joined the Air Force. Basic training is in San Antonio Texas. That's where I will be. Yea, monday I will be at the Maxwell House Hotel, tuesday I go to MEPS where I leave for the plane. Fun, fun. Tonight I'm going out so that should be fun. Kind of sucks having such short notice, but hey, I have the weekend to hang with family and friends so I guess all is good.

Thank you. I appreciat all the good lucks, it sure makes me feel better. It was sprung on me so fast I barely had time to think. I still can't believe it. Most people have a couple months advanced notice.
