well i'm thinking about moving to gainsville, (also in gainsville right now) but whats up with street racing? when where? anyhting on a regular basis? Ive seen about 3 fc's now. and they all sounded stock as ****.. im losing hope hear.

 

dude...im not from around there..but i know that FL has a lot of nice cars...and many nice 7's too...be patient...but good luck...

ok gainsville i have no idea im down in miami but you get caught racing now they have all rights to confiscate your car and you go to jail you can still get arrested for hanging out at the local events youll get a nice fine for "illegal assembly" happned to both me and my brother so we really dont do to much of it anymore..

i am in gainesville.. Havent seen too much of that going on in the months that i have been here.. Mobile Revolution off of Newberry and I-75 its a car Audio / Foreign car repair shop.
There know the haps on the street scene, have a little car club and meetings.. i just got here but i was just there yesterday .. I heard about 2 FD's and a couple FC's that frequnet that shop often.. and they are all pretty tight group dont have a phone number for them .. but

Need a little assistance. running a wire from my Amp to the Dash board.
just dont know which wire i can jump to run power to the remote wire of the Amp..
just need a second set of Eyes to look at at it. and help out. I dont have a tester or anything.

i grew up in good ol g-ville i was told that there are few really fast 7's some where in town i think that i was told that they race the g-ville race way at the end of 53 ave take your last left right b4 waldo road and its about 5-6 miles down i dont remember what nights they do racing for street cars

 

Hey man I live in Gainesville and drive an FC, though mines stock. There are 3 car meets that I know of Gainesville Racing (GVR) www.gainesvilleracing.com, International Mortorsports (INTMO) http://www.intmo.com/ and Revolution Motorsports (REV) www.theclub.digitalinsomnia.cc/(I think). I've lost track of their meet times but they should be on the sites. Good man!

 

GVR's got Friday night @ McDonalds on Newberry 9:30
INTMO's got Thursday night meets @ Ale House on Archer 10:30
And rosrex7 mentioned REV already.

 

Forget about street racing, just bring it to the 1/4 mile drags!

 

I think most of them go to the wensday night test and tune at the Gainesville Speedway.

 

I love going to Da Ville. I've only seen one 7 up there, and it was at the UF parking lot, with a cracked S5 taillight. As far as racing goes, I do know that in Orlando, they still race on Saturday nights.

Racing should be done on the track! As exciting as the street scene is the risk factor isn't worth it!!

Hey I live in gainesville and have been here for about 5 years. I'm a student sometimes..other times im driving around in a black FD with Kouki tailights and a vented headlight...I've had two rx7s ...last year i had a montego blue one, that i blew the apex and sold because i couldn't afford to fix it at the time. Next i got a 93 red 240 with the sr20det and silvia front end conversion. that's the car i used to go to the race track with and the thursday night car meets up on the corner of nw 13th street and nw 23rd (taco bell parking lot). I love rx7, so i got another one. I'm trying to go out sometime too. I think Gainesville is the perfect place for people to meet that are from Jacksonville and orlando because it's right inbetween. Oh well...see whats up.
