Update
Just wanted to post a thanks to skylance and racedog. 
Just to let you guys know, the car is up at wilkies, doesnt seem to be a major issue.
The reason I posted in open forum instead of PM, was to ask about a problem the mechanic is currently working on.
From what he says, if you spray starter fluid in the intake, and hit the switch, it will start right up.
He says everything checks out ok up to the injectors. He hasnt yet found out if the singnal isnt making it to the injector, or if an injector is stuck, or if the whole startup proccess isnt making it past the injectors.
What does this sound like to you guys? The only real symptoms so far are (1) the the engine spins over, but doesnt fire. & (2) Theres a fuel\oil -ish buildup on the trailing and leading plugs closest to the firewall.
Anything you guys could tell me would help. I know the mechanic will say 'this is what was wrong with the car' but I want to know what was wrong with it, and what caused it to be wrong in the first place. I wanna learn some things along the way, and that wont happen if I just let the mechanic fix it.
