TN rotary owners - info needed
Well still trying to grow TN into being one of the biggest clubs. I don't think we can ever beat FL or Ca but we can try and have fun doing it.
Ok, Most of you know we started a TN club website. The club idea started just in middle TN but after several of you have gave me your info for the TN data base I have been trying to figure out a way to go state wide since then.
So tell me what you think about this or add some input that would help everyone in our great state of Tn. We do have a ton or rotary people in the state so lets all get together and get to know one another.
I got this idea from a friend but it might be exactly what we need so here it is.
Buy the spring of 06 have group leaders in all the areas were there are a group (5 or more) of rx7 owners (example Nashville, Knoxville, Chatanooga, Memphis, Clarksville, Cookville, etc.) These leaders would be the go to man for that area to get everyone together and hangout with each other. Just someone that is a person that can get ahold of everyone and that wants to get everyone together. There is no rules and fees just trying to get the rotary community closer and larger. Basically what is kinda happing now but on a larger scale. This way we can still have a Mazda Rotary Club of TN and reach out to everyone in the TN area. This would allow you rotary owners to get together with each other in your area. Then a few times a year we can have a big get together in different locations.
So tell me what you think or add to it. Maybe there is a better way than this so speak up.
As of right now I have 48 people on the TN Database list and it is still growing. All the list is is just some info and where your located. Once you submit your info to the data base you get added and then you get e-mailed a copy of it.
I will try to get the current list out to everyone that is on it so you can have an updated list.

The closest major city im near is Morristown. Im closer to that than anythign else, and from what I can tell theres at least 3 or more 7 owners in my area than i can tell, myself included, Kevin landers of course, and a few others. I currently own a 88 SE with few mods, no aftermarket parts to date, about to take possession of a 89 GXL this week so I can put the SE down fow upgrades and general maintenance.

Thanks, though Im buildign the S4 over the S5, since it is lighter than teh GXL, and since what I want to do to is is relatively cheap for the S4's. Though the S5 will see just as much love, just not as much modding since I have a 3rd evil lil project waiting to be unleashed once these 2 get out of the way.

This seems to be working and peolpe stepping up. This is all good.
I am from Fl so I know how big the rotary scene was there but I think we can represent TN just as well if not better.

Sounds good to me Chad and I believe you still have all my info. If not, let me know, I'll send it again. Also, site is still looking good, was surprised to see the pictures of my car on there.
On a side note, I wanted to let you know (you may already know) that there is an article about the Deals Gap run in the RX Tuner magazine and there is a picture of your car in there. Volume 2, Issue 4, if your interested.

Hello, I am a Marine stationed in eastern NC. I grew up in Maryville, just south of Knoxville. I still claim residency there, and come back to visit my Parents and friends every few months or so.
I would like to meet some local TN rotorheads and hang out whenever I'm in town. I believe that I met some of you guys at Deal's Gap last year.
Anyway, I'm just saying that even though I'm not there most of the time, I would still like to get involved.

ok, guys and gals
Just to recap I think we cracked the 50 mark. Several of you have pm'ed me the info listed below to add you to the database list that also adds you to a mass e-mail list. Again, thanks and for those of you who want to be leaders in your city again thanks for stepping up. This in no way will effect your life's busy day to day stuff, but it will help the rotary community grow in all the cities in TN.
Several of you have friends with rotaries so get them to post their info as well.
This can have some benifits to you even if you don't ever do anything with the club or go to meets. Example, last year I submitted a roster to the rotary revolution and it allowed club members to get a discount and if several people went we could of had or own parking area with signs.
Well, again all this is only to benifit the rotary scene and to get us known.
However, I could use some ideas on T-shirts, and stickers as I have sourced a new place to get shirts made fairly cheap. I am trying to keep the shirt cost at $10 and the stickers below $5 depending on the size shirt and sticker.
Also, I could really use someone who is a web site guru to help get our site updated and looking good. Get with me, please.
