For those who live in and around atlanta
I am being considerd for a job in atlanta. And I was wondering what the monthly/weekly cost of living (apartment/hotel, food, electricity, water, etc) would be in and around atlanta. Remember I am 18 yrs old, and I spend very little money.
Thanks in advance!

Okay, I got a location, the job will be in the atlanta international airport. Im pretty sure that is south atlanta.
So to refrase the question, about what is the cost of living like for a cheap single 18yr old near atlanta international airport?
Thanks.

Maybe Clayton still wants a housemate.
If you are going to live on your own anywhere in Atlanta suburbs that is somewhat decent, it will probably cost you close to $1000 a month for rent and all utilities. That can probably be cut in half with a good roommate.

Im guessing you moved from there, since you show to be located in TN.

Yeah id say 800-1200 for south side of ATL is pretty acurate. This is for a 1 bedroom rent only. Just depends on the specific area of the south side. There are some bad areas you wouldnt wanna live in.

How far south are we talking? I dont mind a 20+ mile commute. 800-1200 seems affordable for what I would be making, And I only really want a small place since it will be cheaper to heat/cool, and the car insurance quotes I got was aprox 1200-1300 or 6 months (that is for GOOD coverage on the miata the 7 is dirt cheap since It will be welcome at home since its a "member of the family")
I still havent gotten an offer, and Im still not sure I will accept it (If I get an offer of course).
What about tech/community colledges? I still want to continue my education, I AM going to atleast get an associates degree or something along those lines.
Stay out of clayton county. I live in Stockbridge which is on the edge of Clayton Co and it isnt bad. $833/mo (only utlities covered are water and trash) for a 3 bedroom apt. Everything you need is at most ten minutes away and the college I go to (Clayton State University) is fifteen minutes away.
I was thinking places not to far from I-75. Would those places be bad to live in?
Such as places in section 2 & 3 Of this map, Maybe even section 1.

If you haven't already found a place you should go to www.promove.com.
They are a free apartment locating service that is supposedly very good at finding deals. One person said they saved him $200 a month on a 2 bedroom apartment.

Well, after reading your last post this is a useless post. Sorry.
