Thieves

I got this off another forum.

i don't know if it occurred to anyone else or not, or if this was ever brought up for attention, but did anyone ever think that it's people frequenting this board who rob us? i mean, we're on here.. we post pics of our cars, we have 'signatures' we talk about mods, brag, etc.. ever think that person posting in the forum with you could be waiting to find out where you're at and then rob you blind? everyone is like 'yo yo come out to blah blah for drinks' or whatever, well that's like saying 'alright, my car with x amount of $ into it will be at blah, so please feel free to take what you want' or that people here LOOK for your car in the areas it states you live in or work, or whatever, then decide to rob you? thankfully no one wants a ****ty 200sx and my snake is somewhere safe, but this was just something that was bothering me and i felt the need to say it.
I thought.....are people setting them selves up? or are people really just this scummy.

Yeah he makes a valid point but i will agree with HONdaslaya, we cannot live in fear. I mean we are always at potential for something bad to happen to us just as we are something good too.

I love RX-7's and i have been into them for almost 20yrs. But when this forum was started i was married to it right away, and i never thought that someone would use it for criminal reasons.

But now we always here of people getting ripped by other members and etc etc.
But you cannot sit back and think that everyone is gonna rob you. Because that simply is not true. We always just need to realize that poeple are who they are and we gotta be who we are too.

So why doesnt everyone from the SE come to my house with your 7's and we wil have this big BBQ and get to know eachother this summer? What..............scared?

My car sits outside in my driveway all day and night. If it gets stolen, so what. But if i catch the rotten ***** in the act..........its game over.

its incredible that someone would use this community to do something liek that. I love rx7's in the little time that i have gotten to kno about the car and to think that someone would go out of their way to steal someone else's car instead of just building one out of their own hard work and sweat makes me lose alot of respect for people in general. I love all you guys in my own way and if i ever heard someone say they got their car stolen from someone else in this forum, i would be down to find the person and show them what a person does when they lose something they love lol, if someone stole my car i think even on crutches id go berserk and need someone to stop me from hurting that person 2 bad

I took off my mod list too, but i dont think anyone would want to waste the effort stealing an FB or FC. I would think FD owners would be a lot more paranoid though

I moved from NY to Florida and lived in Florida for 5 years. I lived in FT Lauderdale in the Inverrary section (where there is a man made waterfall). It was a gated community. I had a 2nd gen 1991 Turbo II with 18inch motorform circs.

I woke up one morning to find my car on four bricks and my wheels gone. I was new to Florida and moved there alone and did not have many friends yet. One guy, chico with a yellow eclipse lent me his stock wheels and I ended up getting my chrome wheels back, but that's another story.

Be careful in south florida!!! I visit this section a lot even though I live in NY since I really miss florida!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well i have a viper alarm and if they succeed in getting it then whatever. im not real worried about the theft of the car but the goods attached. for instance i rode around with my front mount ic for weeks with out a bumper and not one thing happened that i know of since i have the bolts ran thru the radiator support and tig welded the nuts on it so you can unbolt it i,t will have to be cut out but thats my 2 cents
