So I know we have a couple 7's in the Tally area, and hell why not start posting on Rx7 club even if we do have another forum to post on as well...

Anyway what's been going on in Tally anyway? Drew's got the FD witht he 8 in it running as far as I know and Pat is still in the works with the Vert...

Its because half of the guys with 7's in TAllahassee are gay like yourself or just dont wanna associate with **** like well....yourself. Did you see mem yesterday in my Shinka Dustin? I saw you and i could of swore you where kissing a dream theatre CD!
Hey guys...if ya'll ever have a meet on a weekend at a park or something, you might convince some of us Gainesville RX7 lovers to attend. We may disagree on football teams but we can always appreciate our cars! =)

I think we kind of gave up on the "big meet" thing. Me and Fritz did it twice, it was nice. We had people come from Jacksonville, Atlanta, I think some from Pensacola. More from out of town, than local.
The problem is, however, that there aren't enough folks locally that are really "into" it. I don't even have a running, rotary-powered car anymore (I will eventually though, I still have 2 13b's, and a total of 3 FC bodies).
Even evidenced here, there's animosity among several of the local 7 owners. If there's anyone that thinks v8 swaps are blasphemous, that also starts another huge argument (myself, Harold, and Andrew with v8 swaps...well mine in the works anyway). That's also the reason no one ever posts on the SE-RX7-Tallahassee Yahoo list anymore, after a huge debate on there.
Not sure if Tim still has a running 7, or what his parts "business" is like lately. Neeraj ("Yak") no longer has an FD, I believe Andrew bought it (to put another LS1 in, I believe). Mark sold his FD. Lady named Anne with a nice FB I met once, never heard from again. Josh sold his FD. Not sure whatever happened to Nathan and his black FD. Pretty sure Ricky still has his awesome TII, but it was always hard getting him to any meets.
And with the constant turnover of students in town, it's hard to get anyone "loyal to the cause."
However, if you folks from Gainesville want to come to Tally to meet with other car guys in general, there are regular auto-x's in S. Georgia (see dixiescca.com), and there are several guys on tallyimports.com that are always up for a meet.

We meet at the Mellow Mushroom in Gainesville right by campus. The owner has a 10thAE (used to have a FD) and lets us block off a part of the parking and then take over the deck. It's fun.
