Stolen project car in Tallahassee area

hey guys,

i had an 84 GSL-SE project car that i was working on with a complete TII swap and microtech ecu. the car had all of my tuning equipment in it at the time except for my laptop. the car wasn't currently running due to some electrical grounding issues with the ignition and a dead battery. the car is gunmetal grey with maroon interior and no stereo. the car had to have been towed by someone with a tow truck because it didn't run and there was no broken glass anywhere. it was taken from the High Rd. area in the 32304 zip code. the microtech was an LT-8 version and the wideband kit was an Innovate Motorsports LM1. the engine was from an 88 TII and i was beginning to suspect that it had a bad coolant o-ring requiring a rebuild. also missing were an engine stand head with a rusty side housing attatched to it.

i realized the car was missing around march 25.

if anyone has seen any parts for sale in the area please be sure to let me know.

thanks

Ray Somers

Look for this car on an upcoming episode of OVERHAULIN'. Sounds like an Overhaulin' setup to me.

unfortunately it's been MUCH longer than the typical one week waiting period on this one. this car wasn't registered yet and didn't run. i suspect the motor required a rebuild and the microtech is password protected so whoever gets any of that stuff is going to be ripped off.

Did you have this car garaged at least ?

It seems like you just parked it on the street or outside your home...

Dont you ever watch " It takes a thief" on the Discovery Channel on Sundays ?

During the day when you go to work is when the thieves go to work,..

I work for Brinks Home Security... break ins and thefts usually occur during the day when people leave to go to work.

It's a sad reality of life man... shoot.. i would have at least installed and alarm system.. at least it would have sounded off and perhaps gotten someones attention unless you live in the boonies and your next door neighbor is a couple of football fields down the road.

I keep my '88 vert garaged just as I do with my 2001 Harley Davidson Wide glide. It doesnt matter if you are in Da' Hood or Not.

heh... vehicle has been recovered... posted seperate message.

the vehicle was parked outside due to me living in a condo. it was taken from the condo. it happened while i was in the process of moving into my new house that coincidentally has a garage. rest assured it will reside inside the garage from now on.
