ok steve is good for august 12th at dynospeed racing 901-373-1197 -- he wants everyone to have new fuel filters and spark plugs- also we have to have 5 people so we must get his money up front so no one is left hanging-- we can all send the money in a form of a cashiers check payable to steve kan to the shop- the total to him is 350-- the shop is only charging 75 per hour for dyno use- you will have to pay your time- steve says some may take an hour some maybe more- you will pay the shop owners at the end of your tuning session-- i can be reached at 662-315-1902 i am giving you guys till july 15th to have your spot paid for we can take up to 7 after the 7th pays i will not be able to take anymore so please call me and lets get the spots filled asap!

fart on a friends head!!!
guys, having had my car tuned by steve before. . . i must say to you all. . . BE READY!!! theres nothing like WANTING to make some power until you find out you just have to come home and work on it again. ive had my car tuned by steve 2-3 times now and each time was great. . . except the first time. i wasted a lot of money paying the dyno owner because i was having serious trouble with EVERYTHING it seemed. just make sure that everything is in working order BEFORE you get there. oh, and dont go there w/o changing your plugs. if you have to drive a while before you can be there then make sure youre there early and are late on the list. you will need to change your plugs there (for optimal tuning) and youll wanna take your time. . . unlike i did the first time. . . plugging the wrong wires to the wrong plugs and whatnot. . . that was scary.
anyways, im just wanting everyone to come out of this with a smile and not feeling like they wasted money cause "theyll have to do it all over again next month" or something.
CHECK EVERYTHING. . . MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS WORKING PROPERLY!!!!
paul

Very good advice. Exactly why I have a long list of things that will keep me busy every weekend from now till Aug 12.
Just installed my Power FC and all is well, idle is stable and it runs smooth. Now I need to put my M2 ecu back and make sure I'm boosting right with no leaks or anything before I send it off to the person I sold it to (won't be able to boost much once I don't have the M2 and my power FC isn't tuned yet). Then I have to install my new fuel pump and injectors. Put the power fc back and set it to use the larger injectors. Change the fuel filter, oil, spark plugs. Just for ***** and giggles, do a compression check and make sure isn't weak before I spend all this money to get it tuned. And alot of other little things to check. Hopefully the end result will be well worth it.
Anything else major that should be checked/replaced/upgraded that I haven't mentioned?

you pretty much have it all set. . . make sure you check for boost leaks around everything. make sure your couplers are in good condition. . . ive seem em pop on the dyno. make sure the clamps holding them on are in good shape as well. . . and they need to be good quality too.
checking the compression is a good idea for everyone. dont waste your money and your own time.
make sure your car is boosting properly. . . and if its creeping. . . try to rectify that situation BEFORE you tune. it can be VERY hazardous.
making pulls on the dyno isnt easy on the car as a whole. check/change all the fluids. . . . or top em off or whatever. check your motor mounts. youll see what i mean when hes making pulls while your in the front of the car. check your coolant system. make sure the fans work properly, cause itll get HOT. speaking of being hot. . . this is another reason you want everything to work correctly on the car while on the dyno. . . your oil temps will SKYROCKET!!!!! this is very bad on the engine. if the oil degrades on the dyno (gets too hot) then your only hurting yourself again. a way to get by w/o this happening is to make sure you only HAVE to pull the minimum amount of pulls it takes to achieve the level youre aiming at. . . also, you can have a GOOD fan there. a lot of shops only have those huge 36" shop fans or something. . . what is NEEDED is a blower that can be perfectly aimed at the oil cooler and radiator. two isnt necessary, but is not a bad idea. this way you get a good amount of air going to both places. . . not just a breeze.
i hope all this helps.
