Speed Channel to film at Montgomery Motorsports Park



The Speed Channel is coming to Montgomery Motorsports Park next month to shoot eight episodes of a new progrram called "Pass Time," according to promoter Jim Howard.

Rich Christensen, the creator and host of the hot racing series "Pinks," will be in Montgomery April 25-26 to produce the shows and also talk with the drivers chosen to participate in the eight shows.

Stars from other Speed Channel programs such as "Monster Garage" will also be in town for the shoot.

Details on how local racers can apply to appear on the "Pass Time" episodes and information on spectator trickets will be relesed, said Howard.

"These will be special shows with all kinds of Hot Rods including Top Fuel," Howard said. "We will be looking for 80 Hot Rods of all makes, models and types."

Howard, who's excited that a national TV program will be shooting at Montgomery Motorsports Park, said at least one Top Fuel dragster will be coming.
