anyone know a place near Chucktown that will soda blast or sell the (apparently special) baking soda for it? I need to depaint a front bumper cover that has bad paint all the way through the primer, and chem-strip just isn't getting it.

Don't need the bumper ken, mine is fine. I'm priming the car black and painting it Brave blue.
Soda blasting supposedly removed paint etc without damaging the substrate. Some body shops use it because you don't even have to mask anything off. But apparently, no-one in Chucktown does it on a small scale (I found a company that will soda blast ships & bridges).
I'm going to try some pool bicarbonate in my siphon blaster and see how well that works. Anyone around have a large air compressor? Mine might not have the CFM for that wort of work.

eastwood sells smaller gravity feed soda blasters - apparently the difference between soda and normal media is volume of air. (Greater volume for soda)
That's why I'm kind of thinking my siphon blaster might work, since it uses a 3/4" hose to feed and 1/2"air. OTOH, my compressor is an old sears 5 gallon dealie that might not have the cojones, so we'll see.
This week starts the month run-up to exams, so it's not like I'll have time to look at anything soon anyway.
