Turboren- Can You Post A Note Somehow That The Old Thread That Is Stickyed At The Top Was Moved Here??? Or Sticky This In Its Place??? People That Haven't Followed These Threads May Not Understand The Move...

 

Well, it's an unfortunate side effect of having the threads merged that it takes the title of the newest thread. The Event thread is still stickied at the top of the forum list, but it's been moved into the Shirt Sign-up thread. Sorry, I'd never tried to merge threads before, and I got less-than-satisfactory results both times I did it.

Here's the plan for the day:

9:00 am : Meet at Key Mazda in Hardeeville , SC. Coffee and donut breakfast included. An RX-8, a Mazdaspeed 6, and possibly a Mazdaspeed 3 will be on lifts in the bay. We will have access to the service bay and a roped-off area for our cars.

1:00 pm : Leave Key Mazda. Cruise down Highway 17 through downtown Savannah.

2:00 pm : Meet up at Carter Racing Enterprises for some dyno time.

5:00 pm : Go to Five Star Family Fun Park for 2 hours of unlimited putt-putt golf and go-kart racing, including a room, chairs, and tables for about 25 people at a time. Order-out pizza for dinner.

8:00 pm : ?

How many people would be interested in doing a ghost-walk tour or something of that nature as the last thing for the night?

I haven't got lunch planned yet, but if all else fails we could just eat somewhere after leaving Key Mazda.

Just an idea...

 

I vote against the ghost tour, I went to one in Charleston last year. It pretty much amounts to a guy walking you around a few different sites downtown and telling you stories so don't count on seeing any ghosts, aside from the ones who lifted that $ from your wallet to pay for the tour. While it was informative, the mosquitoes are god awful at night down there and that made it purely miserable.

 

I'm interested in seeing how loud your car is with the straight pipes in place of the presilencers, I have thought of going this route with mine for more power. If your motor has good compression and your timing is good I would think you should be in the triple digits. I don't see a carb on your list so if you're still running the nikki I have a crude but functional little filter hat that I made for mine (pre Weber install). I can bring it with me if you're going to dyno. It allows more air to get in around the filter, from the top instead of pulling through the restrictive stock snorkel. I've also got a K&N for the nikki. Let me know and I'll bring them.

 

plan sounds good to me...would anyone be interested in getting a group together to see transformers? (if u we could all get in?)

Oh yeah i need to add that one on the list i have a RB intake with RB filter.

But hopefully somebody at the meet might be able to help me out with my car. Because I cannot time the car for the life of me!! I have tryed like 20 times and i can get leading to set but when i attach the light to the T1 the pulley is pointing towards the header,,,which by moving the dash pot will get me nowhere close to being timed

 

Ok Today I Went By Carter Race/asian Auto To See Justin About The Meet... He Is Ready For Us And Says That He Will Be Coming To The Key Mazda/mazda Speed Dealership To Meet With Us In The Morning... However He Will Probably Leave Before Everyone Else Does To Go Set Up Shop For The Ralley At The Dyno... I Have Offered To Help Him So I Will Probably Leave When He Does...

the mazda dealer is right by sav. and im pretty sure that carter race is in sav.

 

key maxda is the only mazda speed dealer in our area (metro-savannah if you will)... carter race is in savannah... but from key mazda to carter race you will get to drive over the talmage bridge at the savannah river and through down town...

All we have left to figure out is what to do after dinner. I like the idea of going to see Transformers. Movie night would ROCK! That's how we ended the first-ever meeting of the SC RX-7 club; the movie was... this!

Folks,

I have to make up a pamphlet about the event to give to Key Mazda, so they can advertise it. What I'd like to do is include a pic of one of each generation of rotary car that's planning to show up. I'd prefer it be a magazine-quality pic, but as long as it's not taken from a camera phone, I can probably work with it. Your car doesn't have to be show quality, but it would help if it was at least clean, all one color, and not rusty. Stock or modded.
