dont get discouraged! like i said, the more people see us in gorups the more recognition we will get. i still think we aut to get small groups together to meet once every two weeks. kinda like chapters.

We do that already though. It's not "official" but it happens that way. The Charleston crew gets together 2 or 3 times a week if not more. The Columbia crew is pretty much the same way. Now if you want to organize an "upstate" chapter then I know that we will all support you fully. Do you think you can handle that one??

How far is Piedmont from Columbia or Greenville? I think they are trying to start up a club in Greenville, at least they have a thread on it. Charleston group is a little sparse right now due to everyone being scattered for the time being, but we do what we can

Yeah, it will be closer to whole again soon. Once Derek gets back from the sand box. Too bad Dim Sum is defecting to the Columbia family. But at least he's in college now. That rox!!!!

Actually, Ben plans on coming to Chas. every weekend he can and he still claims Chas. crew all the way!! He's even driving down to attend the meets with us. That's what I call dedication.

It would be cool if we could get something going with Mazda, but I think they will more likely sponsor the event if it was open to more cars than RX-7s. Maybe Miatas and RX-8s as well? What do you guys think? It worked for Florida...

RX-8's should be an automatic selection. After all, they are still rotary powered. As far as Miata's, I don't see why they couldn't be involved as well. Plus doesn't Charleston have a pretty big Miata club? I thought I remembered you saying something about that once.?.?

Yeah, the Miata crew and the 8 crew were trying to do something for this summer. I can find out and see if maybe they would like to squeeze in a few 7s. Supposedly, Mazda was sponsoring it. Hmmm.

That would be nice. And could you please talk to them about the meet/show/cruise in Myrtle Beach to see if they would be interested in attending? Dual shop sponsorship and if everyone would pitch in a little we could really do something nice up there. I'm talking to the shops back and forth via email to start organizing already.

The MB cruise would be kind of hard for the Cola and G'ville group to go to...
Doesn't really seem fair. But I'll look into it

It wouldn't just be a one day event. I'm talking a weekend event. That's why it's so hard to get set up. It would be for all imports. But the SC RX-7 club would be the sponsoring club. That's why I am pushing for such big participation. There will be a thread on it once I get a few more details worked out with the two shops.

zach, i believe i could handle a small chapter. i maynot be the person with the most time to take care of everything all the time, and i dont know EVERYthing about 7's yet, though i have a good knowledge. ive taken a 2 year course in automotive so i know quite a bit. the power train is the next thing i gotta tackle then i should be set.

hell im well off anyway, i totaly brought my seven back to life after some dumbass Fu#ked with all the adj. under the hood befor he sold it to me.

NOT I!!! my 7 is one of the cleanest around at any given time. The lude on the other hand is different because if I washed it the stickers and paint would come off and it would look even shittier. I think I'm going to be painting it flat black when I get back sometime.

What's wrong with MB being too far from Cola? Isnt it just as far from Chucktown as it is from cola?

Zach (FBII type), you do know there's already a club in the queen's city that meets once a month, right? Not that we'd be opposed to having you hang out with us, of course, but something already in Charlotte would be easier to attend. Besides, if I don't mention it, Ashraf will.

OK-with the exception of Ben and Nieto. And Myrtle Beach from my hometown, which was 30 minutes outside Columbia, was 4 hours. We can take 17 straight in. They have to at least take I-26, a few sideroads, and then 17. We are hella closer than they are. Oh, and the Lude does look like Domo Kun on wheels

I don't get the exception on my part, I'll drive anywhere if I got the time and benjamins (no pun intended)

And what's the deal with Myrtle Beach all of a sudden I mentioned it when I was going to drop off and pickup Ben.

Myrtle Beach is 3 hours from Columbia if we run up 378. That's a bit better than 4, no?

And by the way, don't you EVER try to speak for those of us in Columbia again!! Heh. Just kidding.

Zach, good luck setting this thing up. Let me know if I can assist.

I'll get it set up! You can bet on that. I just want to get as much support from the rotary community as I can. If we are the dominant import at the cruise then it will make it easier to get new members and to get the recognition that we have been deserving!! Reese, I'll let you know how you can help as soon as things become a little more concrete. Thanks for the assist big bro. Laterz.
