apparently it has a dropped valve, but i think i can fix it, with some help from toby's mechanic skills. It has about 150k miles, all stock.

anyone got a good 1st gen fuel pump they want to let go on the cheap? I think mine is on its way out but i dont wanna pay for a new one until i see if thats the issue....

 

hmmm. I do have one out of a 79, but it was really loud, so i don't know exactly how good it was. $25 shipped. how's that sound?

ps - I got a Walbro 255 off ebay for only $110.00.

 

yeah and its way overkill for your car you can't forget the pressure regulator you had to get for it either

 

oh! forgot about that. Yeah dude, you would definitely need a fpr if you go with the Walbro option. So, just buy my pump, and you won't have to worry about it! lol
