We had a good meet. Bert, Im glad the A/C works good, I had to take my nephew to Hooters after the meet I'm schooling him right Rx7's and Hooters Im showing him the finer things in life. We had a little run in with N.C.'s finest on rt. 96, He gave a warning and let us go on our way, Im glad I opted not to have a beer at hooters. I really dont think we were speeding, I think he saw a sports car with nice rims and bingo anyway no harm no foul. We did miss the FCs from durham I drove my GXL aka Brenda sue. We enjoyed the meet and the rain covered my hail damage . see you next time johny

yeah that was great. you were like, hell if i had one of those cars id just gut the bitch out. no carpet, passenger seat, back seats, sound deadening, EVERYTHING.
he looked at you like you were crazy.
the sad thing is though, that after all that itd still be heavy.

It was nice to meet up with you guys on Saturday. I think the turn out to be great and wish I could stay a bit longer if not for my dinner appointment. Hope to see you guys again soon before or after I start the FD project. Had fun in the meeting.
By the way, I was the one who drove VR FD.
P.S. Did any supra guy showed up during that night?

no supra guys, but i think the rain was the problem.
it was really good to see that all the RX-7s were nice and tastefully done, nothing gaudy or ricey. it just goes to show you that the rx-7 guys generally tend to be mature in their tastes as far as their cars go.

Hey guys just a thought... would any of you be interested in magazine quality prints of your 7's? I've got like 5 rolls of uber-expensive color film I need to use.. I can also do black n white to. If the weather permits at the next meet I could set up an area in the parking lot over to take pics.. just a thought... and I wouldn't charge you guys much
Also if you dont want to have your pic taken in the parking lot, we can set up somewhere else of your choosing... Like a old building, a grassy field, the lake, etc...

Thanks for making the trip again, and everytime I hit that AC button I am so happy you brought down your test equipment.

It really was a good meet, good to see so many FDs. I wish I'd been able to stay longer. Next time I am shutting it down with everyone.
After the Durham crew started coming I was starting to feel like the 3rd gens were in a minority. NOT ANY MORE, GUYS! We had a full compliment of 3rd Gens.
If we get a full turnout next meeting we may have the whole CharGrill parking lot taken over. Our drive-ins are starting to get too big for that lot.
My 7 looks like crap after being driven in the rain. OH WELL! it was worth it! Now to wash, wax, & armor-all.
It was good meeting all the new guys from G'boro, Fayetteville, and Raleigh. Everyone needs to come out to the next meet, hopefully we will have some good weather and really be able to ogle each others cars.
Hope everyone has a good week.

I was glad to see you and Sam at the drive-in. From the way the weather looked I was just hoping that y'all would show up in the camry.

Yeah, they really let us FC owners down. You know without so many FCs present, I'll have to admit that those FDs do look kinda good, they might even catch on with the serious 7 owners! The VR FD that Andy drove over from Cary really helped improve the color spectrum of our meetings.

Yes, U R right, we'll dominate the Char Grill parking if we could get everyone there at the same time. I'd love to see all our cars parked in the front parking area one time. I don't think the Char Grill owners would mind having their parking lot filled with 7s after all they are there to do business. Maybe we could get a group photo for hanging in the restaurant if we fill the lot.

No, don't think your car will ever look like crap, unless crap is a relative term. No can't think of any car I've seen that it would look like crap if parked side by side.

These things just seem to get better and better. Oh yeah, Andy, thanks for posting with your name it sure makes it easier for everyone to remember that way.

yes Andy's red FD really broke up the black and montego.
It would have been cool if that white one from F'ville woulda stopped even for just a minute.

Ha Ha, we do have a lot of MB, BB FC and FD there. All of the FCs and FDs there looks very good and I am glad to be just a little different
As far as Char Grill parking lot, if more people show up at later meeting and we took all of the parking spaces, people may think the restaurant is actual a RX7 dealer
I am sure the owner don't mind to have all these beautiful cars parked there.
To be honest, I was very surprised that many RX7s showed up on Saturday, it is nice to finally to know the faces I saw in this forum. Keep up the good work and hope to see you all soon, I will be sure to stay longer in the next meeting I attend.

Our meet was a lot better than the "other" supra meet. That was kinda lame. Some really powerfull supras but they weren't that chatty.
Next time I'll try to get more 7s from Greensboro. There are only 2 running right now, so I'll try and get them to come down to Raliegh.

Hey everyone, I passed a Just Tires shop in Wake Forest this afternoon on my way home from work and there sat a black TII. Well, I made a left at the next light and went back to the store and parked in the lot and found out who owned it. He is a guy that works at the store. His name is David and after I introduced myself and passed him a flyer and business card I asked him a little about his car. Its a 88 TII and he needs some help with some problems. I told him he'd fit right in our group and he said he try to be at our next drive-in, in fact, he'd been keeping up with our posts here on the forum.
So, David, if your checking this out we look forward to seeing you and your 7, of course at a future Rotary Drive-In. Another FC for our group!

its that same car that was up there last time we were there... the one the kid bought for like $22K or somethin, am i right here guys?
i talked to a 3rd gen owner tonite. he was sort of older. its red and looks bone stock besides a set of some bling'n pimp ride rims. somehow we ended up talking about how much he wanted for it and that he'd sell it. he wants like $11K. i left him a card a while back and we discussed that. he said he saw it but hadnt really had a chance to look into it. anyone that goes through roxboro sometimes will definently know the one that im talking about.
BTW- look everyone, steve's a live! haha, we'll let him off the hook this time for not postin in forever only due to his lady and tons of family in town. otherwise- we'd have to take away his car for a while, only so i could drive it til i wasnt scared of it anymore...
