come on out. we are gonna have some other types of cars out there already. You can probably learn a few things about all the generations if we have a good turnout. Hell if it is nasty weather, i will not drive my 7 (something I have been made fun of time after time, especially by Bert, it makes me cry at night )
If it rains are we going to meet at the alternate spot, Bert? the one I have no clue where it is.

that's JDM tyte yo!
have any of you FD guys gone non-sequential, and still have all your solenoids from under the UIM?
My charge control solenoid is throwing a code and was hoping i could pick up a new one from one of yall tomorrow night. I car won't come out of limp mode, even after resetting the ECU, and i'm assuming that the bad solenoid is causing the problem.

hey my parts come in tomorrow, and my car will be up and running tomorrow too. but the question is, with 0 miles do you think it'd be safe to drive all the way to raleigh? i dont want anything to go ka-put and end up a couple hours away from home with a broken car.

The white FC is mine and the red on is my son's. I am from Rocky Mount and he is in Kill Devil Hills. We went up on Friday via Wake Forrest and Durham. We met GTUser at the track. Great guy. By the way, he also shot me on the course. I am in the white one with D12 on the WS. We had a super time. I'll be back.

all4jesus, i would do a couple of "test laps" at a home, make sure everything seems ok, then consider the trip to Raleigh a good time for break in. That is just my 2 cents, I've never broken in a rotary, but I have done a few of those crazy piston engines; so my experience comes from working with those.
The real question is, "how much do you trust your work?"
Batguano, if you don't have anything better to do one Saturday come on down to one of the meets. I always like to meet people that log track time on there 7's.
Hey, is Bert now one of the elite now that he hit VIR?

Just in case, throw some extra stuff in the car like maybe a quart of oil and a gallon of coolant and maybe a couple of sockets. Good luck with it hope to see ya there.

Hope your move and real estate transactions are going smoothly this weekend. When you can make it to Raleigh come by and meet the other 7 owners.

Break-in trip to Raleigh
Hey Chris, glad to hear you got your parts. I'd follow Smoken's advice since he knows your car better than the rest of us. Be sure you have a good cell phone number for someone in case you have problems.
In the end you be the judge of how good you feel about your engine. You may want to put more miles on it locally to work out all the kinks and have a better feeling for it before getting on the road for a long trip. Just remember you have to go back home fairly late at night and you don't want to have to leave that beautiful car on the road some where.

June 26 Drive-In
Very impressive turnout guys. We had 9 7s, 1 miata (Ashraf drove over from Durham), a Lexus and a Cobra Mustang. Ryan came over from Durham to check us out. The breakdown of the 7s was 4 FDs (Taylor, Josh, Brent, and Matt, 5 FDs ( Steve, Dave, Ken, Johnny, and Bert. Brent's friend from HP junkies brought his gold Lexus and Josh's brother brought his Cobra. Since we broke the threshold of 8 RX7s for the giveaway we had the drawing for the MazdaSpeed Oil Filler Cap and Matt won this first giveaway.
We also had a nice 1 gen drive by but not drive in and Rick was in the area with his FD but couldn't make the meet.
Johnny came down from VA and helped Matt and I test our AC systems for charge. He was able to get my system working by bypassing the relay and found that Matt probably has some system leaks. Pictures to come. Us old guys went home and the yougins went down to Capital Blvd to watch the ricer traffic, Steve said he'd keep'em out of trouble.

and Ricer traffic is right. that place turns into a ricer mecca later on in the night. kind of disturbing actually.
glad we had such a good turnout this past weekend. Now that our turnout is growing maybe we should start adding a little structure to the meetings or should we keep it informal? What do you guys think?

I went up capitol, does that mean I'm a youngster. It was nice to meet the new guys, I was impressed by Steve, He's half my age and knows twice as much.(I'm just sucking up so I can get his help later). Did the A/C do ok on the way home? Raliegh has more rice than Uncle Ben's, I was stalked by a SRT neon and a cobra. It was almost too tempting, I did have to show the way to some Honda on 96, he kept speeding up to my bumper so I ran pretty hard for a few miles The last thing he saw was my big *** exhaust. You know how I love those curves, but then I saw a few deer so I slowed down to the speed limit. Anyway Nice meeting every one and Happy Rotoring Johny
