sanctioned racing in mid/lower Alabama?

Ok, can someone tell me just when and where there are track days, autocrossing, etc, either in the Montgomery or Mobile areas? And preferably not in between... just one of the other. Right now I'm in Auburn but when I'm at home I'm near Mobile/Pensacola.

If any..

I think lower Alabama is actually part of the Gulf Coast Region SCCA though, not the Alabama Region (which is really just Birmhimgham from what I can see, and B-ham is like 5 hours from my home).

Hell, if someone could just suggest a big open stretch of asphalt where they don't mind if you leave a few tire marks, I'd be happy enough!

You could just look at the region map at scca.org. But as far as I know there is only TVR (and it's sisterclub TAC) in huntsville and ALCCA in birmingham.

After looking at the map for you there is the wiregrass region http://www.sccawiregrass.org/ (not sure what city but it's in SE AL) they hold a solo I there every year so I'm sure they have some autocrosses too.

yes mobile is in the Gulf Coast Region http://www.gulfcoastregionscca.org/

Eh, Dothan is kind of far from my home town, and while I'm at college I'd be within a few hours of Birmingham or Atlanta, although someone told me that the Gulf Coast region has been somewhat inactive...
