Wish I were there. Let's hope for another rotary win this year.

Who drinks while working on cars?
Geesh, that would just be weird. Like putting peanut butter and jelly on the same sandwich. Weird...

Garrett, my brother, Scrubby, myself, and assorted female companions are headed out soon.... we'll be in a white chevy pickup truck with a cooler full of beverages, stop by and say hi
Eddie, so sorry I got all caught up in the race and other things going on a forgot to give you a call.
The Rolex was a blast. It would be really cool if we could get a large rotary group together and go and support the mazda team next year.

it was parked deep in the garage and mostly covered.

this car had a hell of a night I reckon

engine from that car. modified airbox, I think, because this car ran without its hood for a while.

pre-race, looking sexy in satin

no roof necessary on this M6

ferrari motor just hanging out on a palette
Sorry for the size. Thanks to G for the ticket. I need a better camera by next year. Currently watching Speed's coverage of the event. At least now I know the reasons for all the full course cautions. It was chilly at night, but at least it didn't rain.
Other Cars:

About 11PM, #44 just pulled into the garage for a bit of work.

Busted BMW M6 entire front end. They put on a new Front bumper cover, radiator, ducting for brakes and intake, new front left fender and hood in about 30 min. I stayed and spoke with one of the mechanics and he ended up letting me take a section of the front bumper cover and my friend snagged the front fender with the Rolex 24 decal on it!!

Broken BMW M3 Tranny:

What an amazing time!! Had a good time with everyone.
Nice to meet you Noah. Looking forward to hanging in the future! The weather was picture perfect!! i knew the infield was going to full due to our tardy sat. morning arrival. We still managed to "squeak inside and find a great umm. spot !!
I am sure there will be many pictures coming soon from scrubby (Dan)! We had been busy before and after the race getting my car running. I couldn't be more happier w/ the IR performance house call!! Even backed against the wall w/ time and poor tool inventory Rich (Goodfella) pulled off oil pan reseal, long block dress and perfectly purring motor install w/ 1 hour before airport departure yesterday. There will be pics of this soon as well.
Yeah, thanks again for the great deal on the tickets Garrett! It was nice to meet you, Rich, Dan and the ladies. I am sure I will be seeing all of you guys more in the future. Your truck was parked at a pretty good spot. Easy access for "refreshments".
Next year it would be pretty cool to gather a large group of people and get a spot in the camping end of the infield. Or see if we could reserve an area for a bunch of rotaries to park. I am sure we would get a lot of attention as people were walking through. Possibly even just a bunch of mazdas with the miatas, speed3's and rotaries. I dunno, I am just thinking out loud here.

That sounds good Noah. We should give it some thought. See if we can commit enough people (8 or so) to camp. The weather is always a factor though. This was the best weather for the race that I can remember in 15 years. It was still a it cool and damp at night. G
