I think the Mazda Sports Car Club of North Carolina is very active in that area. Their website, MSCCNC.org I think, is a great source of information with a forum I believe. Give them a whirl while you're searching.

We had them close down our Saturdays In Raleigh thread on here. Went to our own website which is now www.ncrotaries.com. We have the usual stuff: forum, profiles, members pages, etc etc etc...

We just got through hosting Mazda Days for GTLIVE at VIR the first of this month, also got a new place to hold our meets. The guys at Southern States Mazda let us use their parking deck and the surrounding area in front of the sales/showroom to park our cars. We still meet the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month at 5pm there. Then around 8pm we head out to eat someplace. After dinner we'll sometimes go elsewhere like Frankies (to race go-karts) or a bar or whatever.

Right now we're working on a road trip to Greensboro to visit Roar Racing (RX-8 team KONI series) along with other stuff. We'll hold cookouts, beach trips, go to VIR to watch the races, so on and so forth.

Anyway, we're still alive and kicking!

PS: I'm a member of MSCCNC, we meet once a month and do a lot of driving events. HPDE, autox, so on and so forth. Not quite as social as ncrotaries but a bunch of good guys.
