I can poilish aluminum and stainless steel. I can powder coat anything under ~1 cubic yard. and I can paint, clip, and buff anything to a mirror finish. Now for the bad news; I'm not cheep, and I'm not local to you. Below is the paint job on my car.

Haha, good question. I've never tried to powdercoat aluminum, I always polish it. Let me do a little research to find out how to prep the aluminum. You can't paint aluminum without special prepping, let me see if powdercoating is any different. I know it can be done because I've seen intake manifolds powdercoated.

umm... I don't know what a TII intake mani looks like. I buy my 7s with no engine. ha. Post a pic of one. I just saw your part-out thread. Still got the 5 lug hubs? If it's not crazy difficult to polish, I would do it for the hubs. Or maybe some other stuff we may need.

You've seen those 4.3 heads that I ported & polished the exaust ports and the LS1 throttle body that I did the same. BTW, I broke ANOTHER spring... took the head off and it's a bend valve. SO, if you want to see my ported and polished LS1 heads, now's your chance. My point is, I hope you can vouch for my painting and polishing since you've seen it.

Here's the place in Mauldin

most deffinately, greg does excellent work all around. i have not seen any of you polishing(i think) but the paint work and porting is top notch ****!! if you have the oppurtunity, you should deffinalely have him do some work for you.

so you got a the new spring in there and then broke another? and now a bent valve? did the valve drop when you broke the spring? wow, that sucks. as far as the five lug hubs goes yea i still got them, ill do that trade. we can pull them off whenever you want, the only thing is the car is in laurens(20 minutes from mauldin) lmk

edit: i did see that TB that you pollished, it looked really good too.

I just put a stock on so I could ride it. It didn't feel quite right... too much vibration. it ended up breaking the stock spring at about the same spot the other one broke. I did a compression test and had 0 psi on that cylinder, took the head off, and the face of the valve is bent. It's not 90* from the stim. I believe that broke the spring... i just thought of something... I hope i didn't damage a valveguide. I'll check that tomorrow.

Also, the intake port has carbon all in it, which tells me that since the exaust valve wouldn't open all the way, due to broken spring, that the exaust blew back into the intake port when the intake valve opened. Since there was 0 compression on the cylinder, then there was 0 suction during the intake stroke, and since the exaust valve was partially open, then the other cylinders were forcing their exaust into the cylinder through the open valve, then back into the intake manifold, since the intake had more vacuum than the cylinder.

Wow, what a hijack.

Post a pic of a TII manifold so we can get back on track.

Here's an TII UIM I did for Dregg. He's going FMIC so the TMIC mounting holes are knocked off and the runners are contoured so it looks like they were never there.

Sure-as-sugar-**** doesn't look like the 20 year old mani he brought me.

Yes, these were taken in my bathroom, yes it's orange, yes I've got a 2 year old. Look at the mani, I don't wanna hear any ****.
