Those that are close to Palm Bay, FL. and are not going to DGRR
On the third thursday of every month there is a cruise/car show. All makes are welcome it starts at 5pm and ends at 9pm. Let's see how many rotary guys we can get. The next date is the 17th of April 2013. Normally has between 200-300 cars, Event is at the parking Lot to Five Guys off Palm Bay Rd. (Exit 176 off I-95 then west, will be on right in Hammock Landing Shopping Center).

look as if i missed the last date however i want to try to make it to the next one and meet you guys. my 89 tii is in need of tires so if they dont pop on me, ill be the white car with the missing hood lol. the fd is awaiting some treatment comestically so cant bring that one out yet.

Changes at the Palm Bay cruise for charity car show
Ok guys for those that are close to Palm Bay, FL. The Palm Bay Cruise for Charity Car Show is not longer host by the original creators of the show. I was informed yesterday they resign and not doing the show anymore, this is because of slack of cooperation and several incidents that happens in the past specific the last month show. I was told that a couple of the cars club that participated on the show approach them and complaint about a lot of things even demanded to ban the Mazdas and the New Cars (all models) from the show this is besides other stupid request they have ,this is not the first time and certainly will be the last , this is no gossip again came directly from the Car Show Organizers they got fed up and decide they can't handle this problems anymore. The show will be continue but host by Mopars of Brevard and since the car show rules is not suppose to change the Original Organizers told me they won't attend the show anymore even with their own cars. I personally won't attend that show for now because I don't know what is going to happens or change and definitely I am not going to find out the hard way and go there just to be tell turn around because I own a rice burn car like I was told the last show by a couple of by a couple of the car club members in question. If you guys want to keep going go ahead it is fine...... I guess but I think this show eventually will be exclusive for American Cars but is just my personal opinion. The former Organizers of the show wants to thanks all of you and your support and they are not disregarding a new car show in the future and of course our cars are always welcome. Thank you

It's a shame that this has to happen. I for one think Penny and Shirley did an outstanding job with the cruise-in. The big loser here is the 2nd harvest food bank. It always amazes me that people, that say they love and enjoy there cars are the first to complain about things like this. I heard a big argument from someone when I was there, they were mad they couldn't get a spot. The rules are the same for everyone but I guess some people believe they don't apply to them. You never know what these kinds of people will do so I will not attend either. We all need to get together at some place in the future. Maybe we can start our own event.

Yes it is a shame I talk with Shirley and she was very sad and upset she even receive threats don't know what kind but if they are not attending that show anymore even they own mopar cars well pretty sure they are not good at all. You are right about us start getting together at some place in the future in fact I have a conversation with Luis and he agree with you I even design a logo for a future club we are going to keep in touch with everybody here and let you guys know the plans in the future . It was fun getting together at that show and you and me will have for ever a good memories from the show since both cars won the Five guys managers choice award. Below is the picture of the design that I made and is not official just and idea of what we can create in the future for ours great Mazda cars.Thank you all for the support in behalf of Shirley and Penny.

Palm Bay Cruise
OK, I spoke with Penny and Steve from Mopars of Brevard last night. Apparently last month a patron was upset and arguing about the types of cars that were on display. He indicated if he wanted to see new cars he could go to a dealership. This person continued harassing Penny and Shirley for about 30 minutes. Also Kohl's got into a heated discussion with Penny about alcohol and noise issues. I guess Shirley had enough abuse from Kohl's that she decided it was best to quit doing the cruise-in. Penny is still doing the show and they now have a live DJ. Mopars of Brevard are still sponsoring the cruise-in. From a safety standpoint everything is fine. I didn't participate last night but will continue in the future. Penny does a great job and it is a worthwhile charity. I really like that logo Jeff, I think we should try and get together on our own as well. You guys are a great group of people and we enjoy talking with you and seeing your cars. It's unfortunate that these types of issues happen, especially from some patron. It's amazing how alcohol changes people. Look forward to seeing you guys at some more meets.
