Nopi Nationals NC Caravan 2005
Okay guys... (and the two or three girls on here-- Gotta represent!!)
It's getting close to that time again: Nopi Nationals! (AKA National Ricer Convention.)
When? Saturday and Sunday, September 17-18.
Where? Atlanta Motor Speedway (Surprisingly enough, it's NOT in Atlanta... it's in Hampton, GA.)
What time do we leave? I'd like to get a group together for people who'd like to go, and we can "carpool" and/or caravan down there together Friday, September 16... or Saturday, September 17th (EARLY morning so we can get there at a decent hour.) Gas prices are so crazy, so if you want to share gas costs and ride together, I think it would be beneficial.
I know alot of you work and/or have class that Friday (myself included), so we could leave Saturday morning and just spend one night there in one of the area hotels, rather than spend money on two nights.
How else can we save money?
I do think it's best if we try to split rooms, because the hotels do charge more for the Nopi crowd... and since we're coming in sports cars, they're not gonna buy the "just visiting a family member" bit.
(It worked last year for my boyfriend's dad's Tercel. Haha)
Some of our group is military, so we can get military discounts on those individual rooms... and others of us have Triple-A. Either way, I think we'd be able to make it more affordable.
Where do we meet?
For the Raleigh, NC area people, post your suggestions, and we can make a decision. Let's just get a head count for now.
And for those who are on the way who want to meet us and follow us down, just post where you can meet along the way.
For those of you who may not have gone last year, it's SO worth going both days! If you can only make it for one day, let us know, so we can look for ya, and you can join the fun!
