I just drove a 1985 Rx-7 12a across florida that I bought for 1000.00, The carb is cracked, and I want to get a new engine, Instead of just fixing the 12a, Is there any shops in Florida or anywhere that I can buy one from for relavively cheap? (12a/13b) that would fit my 1985? Thanks for the help.

 

Maztech in Tampa would be a good place to start if all you want is a rebuild. IF you wanted to use newer parts in the engine, that could be arranged. He might also have some extra carbs lying around in useable condition.

Maztech does great work and I would definitely recommend them.

 

Thanks for the reply, I think I just want a whole new engine, this engine has 225000 miles on it and im surprised it drove me across florida, lol, Ill check that place out though, thanks for the help.
