even if you had uninsured motorist, your comprehensive would still cover you
why wouldn't the lady who hit you pay for it out of pocket?
Did you call the cops? In Florida if you have an accident and you're not insured, the state makes you pay restitution to the other party.

i tried to do something about it the only thing i can do is sue the lady civil that was driving the 86 toyota corolla lol and doing that will cost me as much as fixing the car lol and the state does nothing unless u sue the other driver which like i said will cost as much as fixing the car and possibly take 2 or 3 years
Small Claims Court takes 90 days to go to trial and costs a couple hundred to file the claim.
If you had full coverage, a deductible would pay. A Uninsured Motorist Policy is a supplement to your insurance policy and covers things like bodily injury, property damage, injured passengers up to the amount of your limits. It is not needed to file a damage claim with your insurance policy. However you will have to cough up the deductible.
SMall claims is the way to go and make sure the the state gets on this lady and makes her get SR-22.
I dont think you have fully explored your options to recover costs. Talk to the cop who wrote up the report to make sure this lady gets served.
