Need Electrical Help In Nc

Well i got my car running guys but there is somthing way wrong in the wiring, its a 79 sa with electronic distributor. I live right up from Mooresville nc on I77 so if any one that is firmiliar with the wiring can help it would be truly appreciated, i have gotten this far but im stuck on this. the car just kills the battery, im not talking running and the alternator wont charge im talking just sitting over time the battery dies?? and also the trailing ignition is screwed along with the tach???
i know there are alot of people in charolette and greensboro that could help so if any one can get it done let me know just pm me or leave a post. thanks robert

nobody at all come on i have seen lots of 1st gen 7s in the area, i go to school in charolette and have seen plenty just around there. guys i need help i have done as much as i can and just cant figure it out.

Had an 83 that the trailing ignitor went and that is the side that the tach is read from. Get a cheap ignitor (or full dizzy) from eBay and swap the ignitor - tach should come back to life. Since your car came with points OEM, I am guessing that the wiring has been modified. I'd charge the battery and start pulling fuses until the circuit causing the discharge has been isolated (you can kill those early alternators easily using them to charge a weak / dead battery - tip: swap it with a 86-88 automatic or 87-88 TII alternator to reduce headaches later). Too bad we aren't closer - first gens are a cakewalk to work on compared to seconds...

yeah i know that most the probs are coming from the tarailing ignition just not sure where to start or what to change i just need some one to take a couple hrs to look at it and fix it or atleast help me with it
