Exclamation Need a 3rd Gen specialist in/near Cary/Raleigh, NC

I need somebody who can help me. My car isn't running and I've done alot to get it running. I'm in Cary, NC right outside of Raleigh....I have a 93 Base with only a few mods....So far i've replaced the turbos, the wiring harness, the coils, spark plugs and wires, and the ECU and It still won't start. It did start at one point but then it would die after a couple of seconds. The people who did all of this said the stater was fine. I have an Igniton Harness (whatever the hell that is) and I want to know if someone can possibly put it in for me. Does anyone know what can be the problem?? PM's welcome

Thanx

She won't even turn over man......She's in Charlotte right now and I plan on gettin her up here sometime this week (monday 18th thru thursday 21st) or next week (friday 22nd [payday] thru whenever) so that's why I'm looking for some one to help me ahead of time. Because where I stay, I know they won't let me leave her sittin for too long. Are there any good reputable RX7 shops around here that don't over price?? Or anybody you knows these cars inside out that may be willing to help??

When you turn the ignition, and the starter spins the engine, does the exhaust smell like gas? that would tell you whether or not the engine was getting fuel.

Figuring out what is wrong with an engine is usually a game of deductive reasoning. You start by eliminating what ISNT wrong with the engine, and whatever is left has to be the problem.

Based on your first post it sounds like the engine will at least rotate with the starter. thats a start. its not the starter.

If the exhaust smells like gas while you are trying to start the engine then you are getting fuel.

Pull a leading plug out, place it next to a strut tower with the wire attached to it and try to start the engine. If it sparks you are getting spark. Now do it with the leading plug from the other rotor.

If that isnt the problem then you at least know it isnt your fueling or ignition not functioning, and it becomes an issue of what else could cause the engine to not start. *****-nilly replacing items is just a recipe for either wasting money or complicating the issue. Most times its both. go about this methodically. I have wasted a lot of money in the past replace big stuff when the problem was something simple and cheap.

So when you get the car here do those things and report back. Before that its just speculation.

Convert.....I had a "friend" do all this stuff to her.....as of now from what I've been told she's not even turning over anymore....when you turn the ignition to start her, she does nothing, not even "click" as if she were trying. This "friend" has gotten on here and tried to sell her more than once and even had people come way da hell out here (charlotte) to pick her up. Giving my s/n a bad name (I just found this out) I changed my Password though. He goes by "vahn" on this forum. So as of now I"m trying to get her back into my possesion and get her back on the road......I just don't know where to start......
