We are have a meet for all import cars. There will be local and national venders there to show off their goods. We will also have a section for anyone that would like to bring used parts for sale(swap meet time).

If anyone has a website that wants a spot of there own at the meet let me know. I know Honda-tech.com already has a spot of there own. I would like to see a lot of the regional nissan guys to show up the honda guys.

I would expect around 500 cars to show up at this event. We have enough spots for about 1000.

There will be a lot of people coming into town the day before and we will be racing at a racetrack downtown on Saturday night.

Sounds like its going to be a HUGE import gathering.... 2 years ago, to Honda Tech day in Nashville was when I blew my motor in my blk FD.. Damn! Its been sometime.. I need to put my car together..

 

phil, I am glad to hear you may show up...maybe other rx-7 guys will make a showing at this....from what I have heard it is going to be a big show....

 

IF it is a big show maybe I can swap a day off at work and go .Would my car embarrass me and other 7 owners being low quality and out of place around the high level imports ?

Man what a busy weekend. Between Brian Cain Tuning in Huntsville, Barber's RX8/RX7 meet and Huge Import Show in Nashville...I'll have to burn I-65 at like 170mph!!!

I spoke with Don Napier today and this event is an import Meet not a judged show .He is trying to bring the many car forums ,groups ,clubs together .We can go in and park in a forum group if we want .The cost to get in is free .Vender cost is $ 100 with room for cars at the booth .There will be a dyno set up for some tuning if they have time . To pull on the dyno will be $ 50 .How many pulls ??? A DJ will be set up for tunes .Tuners and venders are welcome ..They will have free TEE shirts maybe and some prizes . If we go as a group and we get over 200 RX7s together then we need to give Don advance notice inorder to park together.

 

cool...sounds fun...david are you going to switch up work days so you can come ....I will make this little meet...but two hundred rx-7s....holy toledo!!!! that would be some showing of the 7....maybe we could meet up with phil and his guys before we roll up there...

 

I can swap days and go with every one .If we all meet up before 11:00 am and roll in that would be impressive . I am sure we can atleast park together if we know how many spaces to ask for . How ever it works out should be fun .I hear about all the fine cars in the area but never see them,I guess this is the best chance .Don said there are cars comming from all over the place . We all know that even Chad can not get 200 cars together in one place at the same time ,but he can contact the most people with his list . Tell hus to keep it under 170 MPH .

 

I just found out that my engine builder's son will be racing at the Grand Am race at the Barber Motorsport Park that same day. His son has won all the races at the Barbers (kart). I've already purchased the tickets and I might goto that instead. I'll find out more when i see you guys in july.

I will get it out today or tomorrow. I am still trying to update the list. Over 50 rx7 owners on it. As for getting 200 7's there......... well if Charles (5-6 rotaries) and myself (9 rotaries) could bring all of ours, then the same for a few others we might could hit that goal. It is hard to drive more than one!
This event sounds good, and yes we need to be respectful but at the same time have fun.

 

It will be 2 pulls for $50.00.
I hope everyone gets to come out.
