Yesterday I got out of a bowling tournament, and headed to my friends house. Around the area where the lady hit me on I-Drive. Im at a stop sign, put it in first and make a left turn, at abour 3k rpms shift to 2nd and clunk clunk clunk boom. I push my car to the nearest parking lot call my friend to bring a jack over cuz it was right infront of his neighbor hood pretty much and I see my drive shaft under the tranny and what im guessing is the gear box? was hit by the drive shaft and that broke, when I move the shifter the whole box moves with it. So I need a new driveshaft, and a new gearbox? or do I need a whole new tranny? Thanks in advance for your help.

 

My friend took a pic of it so ill try to have it up asap also

 

I really need to swap in that good driveshaft that I have laying around...

 

same thing happened to my friend in his 88 se, he ended up having to get a new tranny

LOL u prob need a new tranny. it happend to mine but it didnt fall out so i justed changed the driveshaft. good luck i hope u dont need a new tranny
