I have that same fear.
I haven't been paying close attention to my rx7 within the past 2 an a 1/2 weeks.

I mean Ive been driving it, but yesterday I decided to take a look at things, and found out that #1, my oil level was below the low mark. I havent been giving my 7 its (every once in a while) drink of extra oil.
#2, The coolent resevor was empty. I know that my 7 likes to drink coolent because I have a leak at the heater hose that I dont want to fix because its the clamps fault and i fear that if i tighten it to much it might break and I dont have a replacement clamp... ... any way the resivor only had the fluid at the bottom of the glass.
Any thing else I can think of is that my front tires are about as smooth as racing slicks.

This week im going to try to get a straight-pipe made so i can bypass the cat, so my 7 can breath better. Plus ive got to change the oil.
Some time after that, ill get new tires.

We need to not let our busy lives neglect the care for our rx7s.
Im not sure of why your rx7 hates you, but thats what I fear from mine.

mine hates me because it has major problems with its coolant system. i know it hates me because the bleeder screw decided to shoot out right as i opened the hood yesterday. luckily i only got coolant on my left ear across my neck and my right shoulder. Kids 1st and 2nd degree burns are not fun! always wear eye protection!!! i'm lucky it didn't hit me in the face!!

I concur. You need to put it away until you finish the secret project. I'm gonna guess that due to your injuries that you didn't get much done on it this weekend.

 

i did not get much done on it. though i have all the bolts out so maybe this weekend we can get the thing apart

 

mine hates me too. every time i work on it it breaks im now going into my third motor

it seems that when i park her for a while she doesnt run too well... and when i drive her everyday she runs great but she bites me with the gas at $16.00 per day
