Okay here is the scoup. I have a 1988 5spd GTU. The clutch is building no pressure at all. I rebuilt the Clutch master and slave twice, Brand new everything Before it was the Master losing fluid so i rebuilt it and it holds the fluid, Also the slave was part of the problem too because it went later because the boot was dry rotted. Now that both are rebuild. After so many times of bleeding the Clutch it wont hold pressure. You press in the clutch a few times and it loses all pressure to engage the clutch in gear. When I start the car also and have it in 1st gear it works but when you try to press the clutch and put it in 2nd there is no pressure. Gears dont grind either when you put it in gear. You have to keep pumping to build up pressure but when you try to put it in gear it loses all presure. I check for air leaks with A liquid tester and there is no air comming out or fluid, The bleeder also is not leaking. Any suggestions why its not working ?

Maybe one of the pieces just isn't rebuildable. In my GSLSE, it losing pressure and leaking fluid out of the slave cylinder, so I replaced it. Shortly afterward, I was still losing fluid and I rebuild the master cylinder. The rebuild only held for a few months, it needs a new new one now.

Not had good luck with those rebuilds - the cylinders seem to get pitted by water and the new seals don't last. Watch the rubber line as well - replaced master and slave on a first gen one time and then the line split (must have had enough pressure with the new cylinders...).

damn this sucks. It sucks because now you have to play the guessing game with money. Spending money to try to eliminate the problem when it might not be on the part that you wasted the money buying. I hope I dont have to buy a new Slave and a new Master but if it comes down to it which Im 99.9999% as of this point Im gonna have to waste the money. thx for the help
