MRCCAL Restructure

As most of you may have learned, the president resigned, so an idea to restructure the club was mentioned. Basically do away with all titles of president , vice president, etc. and establish chapter leaders over North, Central, and South areas of Alabama. The chapter leaders will be responsible for corresponding with other chapter leaders and coordinating with members in their area. I would like to get some feedback from active MRCCAL members on this plan. If there is interest in this plan, we can move to implement it.
Sounds like a good plan to me, that way each chapter can coordinate their own meetings and get togethers on a city scale instead of a state scale, and then the chapters can get together for a semi-annual or annual gathering.
Sounds like you guys are going through the same stuff we went through. Our president resigned (just wouldn't admit it) and we never did restrcture. We found it difficult to get the whole state together, but tried to have different things in different areas to help support things that particular area was putting together. I wish you guys luck. Jack

Ummm.. NO WAY you can compare Phil to Ian. I hope no club ever has a president like Ian again. It is hard to keep a club together with all that is involved, people's lives change weekly and usually one person get stuck with all the responsibilities and then others just want to complain and not help.

I'm for whatever. I just need to know the outcome so I can update the site.
Even though we might go to the different chapters, don't we still need a main guy? Just asking... Like a leader leader, chapter leader of the chapters...

I know there are more members who have not posted and it would be to our advantage if we could get EVERY club member's feedback on this. I really want our club to succeed and the only way is through a united effort.

So it'd be like a panel or a board of directors so to speak. That'd be good.
Anyway I got us a MRCCAL forum on nopistons. It's under the club section. Just spreading the word!

I'll throw in my 2 cents and my experience with the MRCCAL (I'll make it short).
I know some of you know I resigned because I was just sick of all the "Drama" in the club. To be honest with you, the drama mainly came from one particular part of Alabama.
If I could start all over again, I would definitely have some sort of annual dues. If you don't pay, You're not part of it.
I also want those to know, I have no ill feeling toward them. I just don't want to be blamed or be responsible for minor things. I will continue to hang out with people in this club but thats about it.
Good luck and hope you guys make the best of this club!

Don, would it not be easier to send a mass email out from the mailing list of members we have?
Phil, I was also thinking annual dues be a good idea, and if you ever decide you would like to become a active member again, you are more than welcome back, you know your part of our family.

I'm going to stick with the locals for now and if you guys do organize something big, I'll show up. Even though me and Stephen formed this club, for now, I'm going to chill back.
