If you area a rotorhead then the Pineville/Charlotte area is a great place to locate. You have one of the premier engine builders right up I-85 in Kannapolis, Rotor Sports Racing and there are quite a few RX7 and I'm sure RX8 onwers in the area. You'll also be fairly close to upstate South Carolina and the rotorheads that live in that area. You can check out the Rotor Sports Racing website to get some idea of their expertise. http://www.rotorsportsracing.com/lobby.htm

Also Charlotte is a couple of hours east of the Great Smoky Mountains and the Tail of the Dragon, US Hwy 129. Great place to take your RX7 out for a little excercise. The Deals Gap Rotary Rally '06 will be happening next April and you'll be close to the action.

Welcome to a Rotary paradise.

dude one of the nice things about NC is that you can drive your 7 whenever you want. Snow is rarely ever an issue. There will be snow on the ground about 4 days a year. Everything will then shut down so you won't even have to go to work.

Welcome to our state!

Coming from PA, you'll probably think our weather is quite balmy and nice this time of year. If you are hardcore enough, you could probably go ahead and ditch the winter wardrobe in favor of your fall clothing.

Good thing about all that is, that we don't have to store the RX-7s over the winter. It's been said already, but there are a lot of rotaries and support in the area.

Welcome and Good luck!

Well I'm in Charlotte w/ a T2 and have seen 2 FDs on my campus, 2 1st gens, and 1 other FC than mine. We used to have monthly meets but the girl that did them doesn't do them anymore. And no one else has started anything regularly scheduled since really.... But the SC meets in Columbia will be about 2 hours max from you when they happen.... Usually Charlotte ones are just random things.

Welcome to NC. There is also the Charlotte chapter of the Mazda Sports Car Club of North Carolina (MSCCNC) that usually meets once a month at a local eatery.

Check out the MSCCNC website and forum at http://www.msccnc.org

We look forward to seeing you at one of the meetings!

I lived in NC for 14 years. Born in Va. Really liked it there. Welcome. RotarSports Racing in Kannapolis is what I would recommend also.

pineville eh? i lived in pineville for like 10 years or something. now i'm only 20 minutes north in Mint Hill. we have a pretty big rx7 crew in the area, we'd love to add another! we usually meet every saturday, it's not something posted on this forum anymore because 90% of the time anyone who says they'll come end up not doing so due to many things happening. so we figured, if you wanna bring out the 7, do so saturdays at the harris teeter off providence exit 485. (exit 57, go right 1 mile it's on the right) come out this weekend!

i drive a Turbo 1st gen
jared's got a T70 fc
neil has a half bridge TII
ty has another soon to be Turbo 1st gen
brandon n/a fc
jason has turbo 6port fc
jeff has a TII
the list goes on....

we're here for you
