I am gonna need some help to drop in a motor into my car...


I need to not only come across a motor, but a carb, and an engine hoist/related engine swap goodies.


Anybody got a hoist, and a fairly new 12A?


I'm looking to do this the weekend BEFORE the Jax meet... let me know if you can help!

I can probally help you out with a hoist

 

I've got a 12a that's got a new looking carb and headers on it. It starts up and idles great at about 750rpm it sounds great. Only reason I'm swapping it out is that I'm putting a V8 in my first gen. I'd be willing to part with it for $500 picked up including any wiring and accessories you need. I live in Orlando. PM me or reply here.

How much for JUST the motor and carb? I've got all the wiring, and a full RB exhaust....


It'd be great if you could bump the price down some... I'm VERY interested, just low on funds till after the 1st...

 

$400 for the motor and carb if you come pick it up. It's out of a 83 GSL which only has 88k miles on it :o I'm sure it was rebuilt sometime... I just don't know when. I'll have it all ready to go, taped up and ready to hoist into the back of your truck or trailer.

After further inspection I won't say the motor has been rebuilt because I'm not 100% sure it has been. It is a low mileage motor which starts up every time.

I'll come get it, but it won't be until after the first... is that cool? Dollars are getting slimmer and slimmer the closer we get to the end of the month!

Ok np man I'm in no huge hurry. I can take some video of it running before I pull it for ya and can try to find some way to send it to you or at least you can see/hear it before you hand me cash for it :P
