My Mother owned a Convertible RX-7 (Red 1991) and was visiting me from St. Louis one week.

She was driving in town and popped her engine.

So, i built and and installed a new engine for her.

She returned to St. Louis and a few days later, a kid driving her parents' SUV while on her cellphone pulled in front of my Mother and she locked up the barkes trying to stop, but alas, planted her car into the front drivers side wheel well of the SUV.

Nearly totalling her car and entrapping the engine in the frame.

This was all 3 years ago, the car has been in my posession ever since.

Now, we have not had the resources to replace/repair her car for 3 years.

I now have another identical car and need to finalize some reapirs and re-upholtering on it before her birthday.

TOMORROW.

Yes, I mixed up a freinds' daughter birthday with my Mothers.
Terrible of me, i know.

However, i am now staring at the loss of a week of time where i could have finished this car myself.

I now have 24 hours to...

Finish wet sanding and the polishing the pant repairs (Small touchup repairs)
Swap the driver side door and trunk lid. (And swap the lock cylinders in each.)

Install new leather seat covers.

Then im done.

The car has come a long way only to miss the target date.
