Melbourne, FL: What is there to do?

I arrived in Melbourne today with 2 of my teams for a Gryphon Group Course. We will be here until Saturday and will be busy until the afternoon. Just wondering if you guys had any suggestions as far as places to eat and what not. Thanks.

Brent

go to the end of 192 on beachside to A1A. it is called 5th avenue/Indiatlantic area.
really good food all around. you can go north and start partying at all the local clubs/restaurants on A1A all the way to Pt. Canaveral at the North end of A1A. Cruise ships, gambling casino ships, etc. If you went south, Captain Hiram's and some others, are huge places in Sebastian area, like Key West atmosphere. Vero Beach is a little further south. If you stay in Melbourne, just north is Viera right on I-95. It is the newest fastest growing section and has all places to go as far as shops, food, entertainment. brevard zoo is over there. there is Andretti thrill park in melbourne that has 40mph go karts and videos, there are airboat rides if you go west to the St. Johns River. Indian River has tours also, and Cocoa Village in Cocoa, is laid back. Bithlo/east orlando [orlando speed world] has test and tune on wednesday nights, and i know they have races and events on saturday/sunday.

Thanks robxray. Thats is good info. You pretty much cover all aspects. We went down to cocoa beach yesterday and found the surf contest. It was pretty fun and the scenery wasn't bad
