Meeting at the big Pavillion near the YMCA. Events throughout the day including flag/touch football and more! BBQ will be provided, a small show will take place as well, so please CLEAN YOUR CAR and even the engine bay. Friday night planning is in the works also for those interested. We also plan a group outing after the meet as well. Plan to meet up Saturday Night for cruising and fun too!

wow after last time phew i highly doubt that the rx7club will be allowed, matter of fact someone should lock this thread so no bad memories can come up lol....but i will say this, it shouldnt be called mazdawinterpalooza, should change it to PROTEGEwinterpalooza

ya im confused i didnt go to the summer one but i would deff like to see a rotary presence at winter. and i havnt heard of any problems at the summer except between mazda247 and streetunit but thats a whole nother bag of crap

 

in a nutshell all the rx guy's were agitated that a mazda 3 sedan with a custom turbo kit won best of show over kandela's yellow fd, and that the protege's had a catagory for every one ever made and there was a just plain rx7 catagory with no gen section, they were way to picky with details as if it was HIN or somethin markin major points off for a worn shift ****, basically a REALLY REALLY BAD experience i really will not attend any more of thier shows at all, might pass thru since it's a lil closer, but i really regret wasting my personal time going to that show, never again will i participate or donate anything to this show, im sorry for those that set it up i know it's hard 2 get somethin like that organized an everything but next time i'd say count the rx's out if your only going to acknowlage the fwd 4cyl's

life is long,, i am suspicious of 3 posts organizer, but that is me. I heard some stuff about the summer meet that had to do with StreetUnit and whoever and not me at all, but the fact is that won't happen unless, the disposition is predetermined by others.

I would suggest list the cars/drivers who is attending
say everyone on the above list is all protege
then mazda 3, mazda 6, etc.
plainly state that there will be blank # of rx8, rx7, rx2,3 other rotary's, nissan , honda whatever your driving and post that your attending. break it down to see if rotary people are interested or not. i like all kinds of cars and shows and events. i hate nothing of what happened last summer and i personally forgot about it 5 minutes after it happened. Also, a winter show in Florida makes sense because July is hotter than a firecracker and more murders are committed at 92 degrees than any other temperture; fact. But I digress, If the rotary community shows, I will be there unless voiced otherwise, if not I still might go if that is the major event that weekend.

 

ok i talked to guys at streetunit and they say that you guys are invited and please dont make the $12 trophys your reason for going. all they are trying to do is get the mazda community more involved w/ eachother. so all i can say is lets be cool bout this and if you have anymore questions please register on www.streetunitforum.com and PM RaiderMS3

That sounds like most car shows that i attend.. lol!
only real enthusiasts understand how hard it is to keep an 13+ year old car looking like new.... not 1-2 year old car looking like new..

One time, i lost to a guy who just bought a new RX8. Bone stock RX8 vs my highly modded FD.. LOL!

 

Yea It's not like you laid down a big entry fee to enter the show. It's suposed to be a fun day to get togeather that's all. I am going, someone has to represent roto-heads. If we bring enough roto's we can vote a peoples choice winner rx-7.

thanx for correction fbdrifter, though maybe thafox was saying that the 150,000$ dollar FD that lost to the mazda3 was part of dragonmotorsports.com which Kandela is business partner with, his personal badass red FD [$50,000+] is a dragonmotorsports car as well as Azfuk's MB [$50,000+], those were 3 of cars at summerpalooza from Miami. luis from dragonmotorsports also has his personal FD $$$?

Ill be there so count me in. I'm going mostly to hang with the Orlando crew. They know who they are. i could care less over the show and all the drama that goes with it. So to avoid it all we wont participate in the eventas far as competition.

Unless i decide to go to Dollar Rent a Car and get me a badass Protege then go by discount auto and get me some hubcap spinners and a cherry bomb muffler. I think that would be trophy material.
