Mazda Winter Palooza Dec 20th ClearWater

Looks like its going to be a decent sized event, I might make it down their depending on if i have anything going on with school.

Copied from mazdas 24/7

Mazdawinterpalooza 2008! January 20th, 2008, 10 AM -4ish

Our Official Mazdawinterpalooza 2008 Meet is going to happen! A location has
been picked out finally! Quaker Steak & Lube in Clearwater!

http://www.quakersteakandlube.com/de...ation=pinellas

Pinellas Park - Clearwater, Florida
10400 49th Street (At US 19)
Clearwater, Fl 33762
Phone: 727-572-WING
Fax: 727-572-9463

First and foremost, the company who sponsored the event in the past, Street
Unit is no longer a part of the event. This is being set up by the original
founders of Mazdapalooza

The organizers are looking for sponsors for the meet, so if you know anyone
interested in helping with some trophies, or raffle items to donate (and not
get any $ back) for the raffle, please PM me, and I can refer them to the
organizers.

We are going to make our meet mainly Mazda, like originally planned, but we
are still opening the doors and hearts for our friends who have non-Mazdas
now.

The official date is set, January 20th, 2008. It is a Sunday. We will be
there around 8 or 9 to set up, meet starts around 10. QS&L opens at 11. We
will have our own room there and space reserved right off of it. Please show
thanks for their hosting, by eating there!

Again more details to come!

Check www.mazdapalooza.com for meet info. An official website
will be going live very soon on its own server.

Hotel information can be found here

*****Discussion about this even can be found here!*****

Why no RX7's on the list? Is this typical for the palooza events?

Just curious.

Quakersteak is just a couple minutes from the house..

What Im curious about.. Why has the RX-7 Community been "ignored"?
I see a GAZILLION RX-8s.. and a plethora of Protoges and Me-oughtas..

AHEM.

Anyhow.. Surprised that there is just this one post that I see.
The Event website is amazingly sparse of any information other than "Here it is, and here are directions" What is planned? Is there something special happening? Is it just a parkinglot visit?
Is Mazda bringing vehicles?
Are we going to see a bunch of scary fast Mazda3s? Or is it just a meet and greet?

erm.. Im rambling.

Its so silly close.. I may just have to go. (making calendar reminder)

I don't get it either. But I did see some pix from the 2006 event and there were some 7's in the photos.

If it was the event at Ft. Desoto last year.. I showed up with the 91 7. It had long collected exhaust with a Apex N1 at the time.. and was.. umm.. hideously loud.
At that particular event everyone was quite pissed because there failed to provide any form of food or drink for the people who entered the event.

Since this new one is at QuakerSteak.. I am certain that will not be an issue.
If you have not been there its worth going to. Its like a mini Race Rock. VERY MINI. But still pretty cool place.

If Im not working on cars for the Deals Gap event I will go.
