Welome to NC and worse case for rotary stuff just do like the rest of us and use the Saturdays in Raleigh thread. Most of us are in the Triangle area but we have plenty of users who live on either side of of the state who regularly post and come to the Raleigh meets.

I got a question though... '93 models were R1's stateside, and I don't believe they made R2's until '94 or '95... I also realize they started selling them in '91 over there and didn't start importing them to the US until '93... So is the '93 an R1 or R2 in Japan?

i briefly entertained the idea of bringing mine back from okinawa but it definetly way toooo expensive and not worth the hassle.

I had the same question as you did when I got the car. I have a friend here that has a R1 which is a '94. Havn't come across any other '93 R2's yet. And the big thing that is differant from the other R models here is that mine has no seats in the rear, just buckets. So IDK, your guess is as good as mine. It's a interesting model and fun car haha :-)

I agree with you for the most part, I just hate thinking of staying in for an extra 4 years, going to Japan and then coming back and getting out empty handed. It's what I came for and why I stayed in so I might as well follow through with it.

Though I wanted a R34 but I've grown to hate Skylines over time, don't get me wrong..... I wouldn't really mind having a GTR :-)
