While i'd like to make it to something sometime soon, work duties say no bueno.. i'm on 7 days a week until at least march it seems. Just means the project 7 will have more funds for a complete turbo swap (landers has a drivetrain for me and ill be picking up a jspec motor/harness/ecu when tax return is filed).

That said....I may be coerced into coming out anyway if its earlyish enough that I can still fly back before i need to be to work lol.

Had a console switch panel show up wednesday, so i now have a fog light switch for use with something. also have a grey S4 T2 console otw with a sport spoiler otw as well...still need grey S4 rear carpet (and the bin structure for a S4) and a few other minor interior bits.... wont know if i want a manual rack until i figure out if im gonna go gilmer drive OR find an alt relocation bracket...then again i might like to keep ps for a while lol.

bleh, this car is already driving me mad. Motor is definitely blown (oh well) so the T2 swap is justified. Gotta get ahold of a new radiator, busted the old one while getting the car onto 4 jackstands (jack slipped when lifting the front...). Need to get a set of stock wheels (or maybe 3 more aluminum spares), still need to track down a motor (not yet though), still gotta pick up a bushing kit, need to find a T2 pressure sensor, a fuel pump (probably a walbro or a supra unit), clean the sunroof tracks, find a better set of seats until I get a deal on some infini III's, chunk the rear black carpet or either S4 grey w/bins or w/seats, oh, and I can add in needing shocks/springs as the AAS is more than likely blown (shocks/struts all look oily on the casings....)

Its definitely a project lol.

Hey, Derrick I live off of 129 in Knoxville now. And I have a garage you should come visit sometime especially during DGRR. I had to leave the tools in Morristown for now. What happened to the rest of the Mazdafiend crew?

Derrick, are you putting wheels on a car that doesn't even run? I think you're going backwards man.

well lets look at it this way. If I do wheels, tires, and suspension first, there will be nothing in the way from enjoying the car once it does run. Unlike the na where i was always under the hood and wishing I could get to the suspension. Hell if it was inside the garage id be half tempted to get some of the light body work done and see how bad off the paint is.

I think the fronts will clear fender once the coilovers go in, but...judging from how the rear looks...

This is the 17x7 installed:

And heres a better shot of the 17x9:

So I 'may' need to roll/pull/flare the rear quarters a bit to make these tuck nicely, but wow do they look good mocked up lol.

Those are nice looking wheels. Reminds me of the TSW's Jeremy had on the TII. You forgot to mount the tires though.

You know the rules, "No rubber, no ride." (That's what she said.)

BTW, any way we could fix the title of this thread? Knoxville Rotarys?

You mean it should be "rotaries" or "Rotary's"?

Yeah, id love to get it back on the pavement, but still waiting on my order from mazdatrix as well as my coilovers. Might pick up rubber in a few weeks so I can see how its gonna look on stock suspension.
