well damn it looks like i'm on call this weekend. i'll only be able to goto the meet at big daddy's but not the cruise

 

whats the address for Big Daddy's so i can get directions. gonna be coming from outside of savannah, so looking like a 4 hour drive.

 

is it really at 12? can we push it back to 2 or so? cause if the meet is at 12, the charleston people have to drive 4 hours, so we would have to get up pretty early (well what i think is early for a saturday)

and somebody post directions, i cant remember what exit it was on I-26

 

why dont you meet up with us here in charleston and we can all caravan?

Believe it or not, we have a good reason for it being at 12. . . .

We usually hang out at Big Daddys for about 2 hours or so. 12 - 2. So, its not like you have to be there EXACTLY AT NOON or else! lol. Yes, the 12 - 2 thing means that you may have to get up a bit early on Sat morning. However, if you have the meet at say, 3 and hang out for a couple of hours AND get some supper, we won't even leave for the mountains until 5 AT BEST! So, then we leave for a 4+ hour drive. That means it is getting kinda late when we all disband and go our own ways. That means that you Charleston people are stuck with LATE drive home that is going to take some 4 hours!! The long drive was the very reason we have it so early!

So, the logic is that you have to leave early, but at least you won't get home uber late! I know some of you probably have to go to work Sunday, so a late nite won't be a good thing. Our logic is undeniable!!!!

Give me a second, and I'll dig up the directions

 

So, what do you guys think? I'm thinking the 12 thing is still the best Idea, but whatever. Let us know what you think.

From Charleston, Columbia, Greenwood - Take I-26 West to exit 15 (Hwy 176); at the top of the exit, bear to the right; you will go about 3 miles to the first light. At the first light, you will see a Burger King on the right, Big Daddy's is next to it. There are two entrances and either will work.

From Charlotte, Gastonia, Shelby, Gaffney - Take I-85 South to The I-26 exit 70 and stay in the right lane; You are heading towards Asheville on I-26 W. Just a "greasy spoon" / diner / burger joint. It's really good. They let us and other car enthusiast groups meet there, and are kind enough not to run everybody off - like when we park at a mall or something. So, we eat there everytime we do an upstate meet. So yeah, we hang out there AND eat there. They are pretty cool to us and let us just hang out and stuff.

OMFG! this fvcker at work hasnt filed for his taxes in 3 years, and now has found out he is getting audited, so he asked for the weekend off and i have to cover his shift! i am so pissed right now.

 

also, on a side note, trying to start up a Savannah, Ga meet, if any of you guys are interested its going to be the 3rd sat of the month, to space it from the SC meet.

You know, I actually knew a girl who forgot to file one year. Nothing intentional, she just forgot. So like 3 months later, she finally realized what she had done. And to think . . . I actually dated this girl at one time

 

gonna cover his shift, i need the overtime, got a 7 to feed, and coming real soon, hospital bill out the wazoo!, i spent about 9 grand last year for 2 days in the hospital, this year im spending 2-3 weeks, you do the math. and yes thats WITH insurance!

OK If your buddies supercharged miata can't outrun a pos AUDI something is wrong. Ive owned a 97 s'miata and I used to work for an AUDI dealer. Unless its an S4 im not impressed. Without the high boost pulley and fuel pump I beat the h--- out of moded mustangs on a regular basis. And would run with a moded TII quite well.

 

Im not sure ive mentioned befor that im comming, so ill mention it again.
Ill be at this rx7 meet too.

Let me tell you a story about my rx7 and its cravings for alternator belts. The 1st belt I put on was when I rebuilt the engine. It lasted 500-600 miles. The 2nd belt lasted up to today which lasted 7k miles. So my rx7 is on its 3rd alternator belt since the rebuild. Im hoping that this one will last around 10k miles.

yea everyone be there around 12-1:30 we do want to get to the mountains but are in no huge rush. as long as we get out of big daddys by 2-2:30ish we should have a great day ahead.

 

Oh btw A company in Fla. builds a kit for a rotary swap in a miata But it aint cheap.

ok guys,i will be flying out to nyc this sat to buy rsex7 single turbo.I should be home sunday.I wont be able to drive it for a while after that because i have to get both knees operated on tues.stop by to check out the car.

 

Zach's TII used to have a problem with eating belts. We changed out the pully and that was the cure. His original pully had a purr on it that was eating belts every couple hundred miles.
