any suggestions?

 

I dunno, it might be kinda tough with July 4th being just a couple days away from the first Sat. of July. Some people may have plans.

Heres my idea. We all get together and bring our families and have a GIANT cookout to celebrate! Then we see if we can find a firework show somewhere and we all cruise there in a big caravan to it! It will take a little bit of planning. Wherever we have it, someone will have to find where there is gonna be a firework show, when it starts, and how to get there from the cookout spot! At the cookout, we need to have a volleyball net, baseball game, horseshoe pits, etc etc. so we'll probably need to find a public park that has plenty of space for us and whoever else will be there over the weekend. Some places may require reservations.

So, lets decide where we will have it (chucktown, cola, or upstate), then that group will go about making the necessary plans and arrangements.

This could be a lot of fun! What do y'all think?

 

id say cola, since they are in the middle. hey if you guys provide the park or whatever, then everyone who is comeing throw down$5-10. i will put on a kick *** fireworks show for you. i only get to blow myself up once every 6 months!!!

 

Sounds like a good Idea Masin! The more we have coming, the better that will work out. If only a couple of people come, then it won't be much of a show, just some 'sparklers' to give to the kids to run around with. lol

 

Ok possibly the lake murray park and the fireworks are right there just across from the dam.

If I still have my FD (most likly I will, because I will not give in to low-ballers) My vote is for Columbia.

 

after talking with some of the other guys. i think the meet should be in Myrtle Beach, there is a big drift thing at MB motor speedway the day we planned on having the meet, plus its myrtle beach, tons of stuff to do........ anyways thats my opinion anyways.

 

that could be a great time, but the drive. how early/late would we meet? i havent been to myrtle beach in a while!

 

we'd do it early just like you huys did for us due to our drives home, say meet around 12ish.........or even sooner, its a club not a dictatorship, lets come up with some ideas.

 

Myrtle beach sounds good! I'm really down for wherever, it doesn't matter to me. And I definitely like the mid-day time frame.

 

WELL I JUST GOT SCREWED. I now work on saturdays every other 8-12. That will be my 2nd saturday to work. Ill lety you guys know if something changes.

OK, Here in Columbia. We do 2 big firework displays on Lake Murray. One is at the Dam & The other is @ Dreher Island State Park.

OPTION #1-We could get a few campsites @ The State park, have a bonfire roast a few marshmellows & then watch the fireworks.
(Downfall -The State Park is 30 miles away from Columbia Downtown. 15 miles to the nearest eatery & park closes gates after 10 or 11PM -so no one would be able to get in to see us or be able to leave after that time )

OPTION #2- Chris & I could Host the RX7 party. We all go out on the lake. Swimming, wakeboarding, knee boarding, & tubing. We could still do the bonfire & campsite, though we don't have any tents to do so. Who ever is coming would have to supply. We are close enough if we wanted to go cruizing later Columbia is only about 10-15 miles away. I can cook a large breakfast for anyone who crashes or camps.

Ok. So that is just our suggestion. Let us know what you think!

i like option #2. that sounds like a great day!! and cola is alot closer than myetle beach, but myrtle beach is the freakin beach!! so many tough decisions

 

They all sound like good ideas! Lets do all of them! Spend part of the day in Columbia, then head to Myrtle!

 

all sounds good and wish i can make it, as to your question as what im going through skylance, its called IL-2. basically they stick a needle catheter(sp) IN MY NECK TO GO STARAIGHT INTO MY HEART! and pump the IL-2 into my system that way. so yea, not fun at all, plus this stuff makes you sick as hell. but one more treatment and im done, its just ill be getting out of the hospital the day of the meet and wont be able to make it. so i can make all meets after this WOOT!

Hey I just got an offer to trade my RB for a FD. Ha Ha im going to check it out this weekend.

Well I made my decision. I didn't trade the RB for the FD. I bought a 06' VFR 800 instead. So I will still be looking for a 7 just a pretty cheap one. Are we actually going to get anywhere with this months meet?

 

AAAARRRRRRGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!! I'm gonna have to flake out on this one. Sorry, I hate saying that I'm gonna do something and then turn around and not do it. My parents are moving to VA the weekend of the meet, so I'm gonna help 'em. Anyway dudes, sorry, I guess I'll see y'all at the next one.
