You might want to try the US Army Corps of Engineers District Office in Nashville. I worked for them and with your electrical engineering backgroud and training you should be able to find something. I've know several guys who got into the organization and after a few years and some hardword got the feds to pay for them to finish college.

I am currently working for Sprint Telecom and I know we have an office in Nashville servicing Business Telephony systems. You get your AS degree and can get on as a Business Systems tech or in Engineering support position with Sprint or Bell.

 

The only engineering co. i know of in Nashville is Ross Bryan. They are structural engineers and i'am assuming that you are looking for electrical. I just figured i would give a little tiny bit of help. Good luck.
