Hey guys, I am tired of trying to mess with this car myself so anybody know of any place to take my 94? Its boost issues that I'm having. I really appreciate it.

You could try stage6 although they do not specialize in rotaries. 904-379-4921.

I doubt stage 6 nor speedfab could fix your problem quickly nor cheap.

I third veloz because they play with rotaries only and have probably dealt with your same issue several times unlike stage 6 or speedfab.

ANOTHER thing.

You could search this forum aqnd help your self.. Which is always the best way.
What kind of boost issues are you having.. the common 11-8-11 psi pattern?

My buddy is a Master ASE mechanic, has owned and raced RX7's, and although he works at a Mercedes-only shop, can take other work.

If you're interested, let me know.

Thanks,
:-) neil

I'd take it to stage6 or speedfab, while they don't specialize in rotaries, they've been working on RX-7s since 1993. Tracy, Dwight, or Ricky will know what they are doing.

Its hard to know who to trust in jax cause there are no dominant rotary shops. Maybe we should all just meet up n discuss the prob over a six pac n see if between all of us we can figure it out. Im also interested to meet some of you guys to be honest.

Many people could that job done on the driveway. A third party(shop) could lead to BS just like any shop.
I say do some search and learn about your car. Maybe fix it. If not take your pick at a shop.

I personally dislike all shops. If you dont knoe anything about cars they will rip you a knew one. Trust me. Even a guy at midas tried me. didnt feel like changing the water pump on the maxima so i went and got a quote on the labor alone and that ****** saqid it was 600 because he says it was powered by the timing chain. And on the twincam version this is true and it is a pain in the ***. BUt i gave this ****** the car's year which as 89 and no twin cams came in 89.

I look at him and show the new water pump in my hand to him. I point out the belt pulley to him. Does that look like its driven by a timing chain. HE looked at me like he was just busted.
He then quted me 250 for the labor.

If it had been anyone else... a female.. would of got charged double.
