Info on Outer Banks?
Hey guys. I am looking to come down to the outer banks with some friends during this summer. Looking at the map it seems to be a pretty big area. I was wondering if anyone that knows the area could direct me to the part most suitable for college kids. Since I have never been there I dont want to end up staying in a family or senior citizen part of it. Any info or personal experiences would help out alot. Thanks.
PS - I'll be bringing the car if anyone wants to meet up.

I just got back from the Cape Hatteras this past weekend. I will warn you, the Outerbanks is not a party town at all. I go there all the time to fish, kite surf, windsurf, etc. The best place for you to go if you want to hang out at nights and maybe even hook up then you need to stay in Nags Head and or north of there. As a last resort, you can always drive up 1-1/2 hours up to VA Beach. Then again, this past weekend, I ran into 8 college girls that rented a house for the whole weekend in Frisco/Buxton area.... way south. So go figure. Good luck and yeah bring you 4WD if you have one.

yea, spring break is cool in nags head/ kill devil hills area, other wise its mainly a tourist trap(wright bros. first flight blah blah). it is worth it to go check out Va beach at least a night or 2 while your there. thats where the clubs and good bars are. and you dont need a 4wd, just install a gun rack in the fd
yea, you won't be partying too much anywhere south of nag's head or kdh...i stay in avon/buxton area when i go up there and it's just a pretty much laid back area just to surf or do whatever. great place though.
