I'm New and in NC
I'm new and getting my first x7 in jan. Ive been looking for a cheap rolling shell and i've found one about 23 miles away in NC. I'm from Lexington, NC just about 40 minutes away from Charlotte. So Nice to meet you all, my name is Dustin. I'll be around alot and next year this time i will hopefully be meeting you all in person with my x7 :-) its an 88 by the way. I am thinking about doing the JDM 13bT T swap :-) Let me know what you guys think!

Banned. I got OWNED!!!
That would be alot easier... Go to the 2nd gen tech section and at the top you'll find the FAQ... That would be the first place to go to get your questions answered... Then search that section of the forum for any additional info you want... Good luck!

Thrown into reverse? O_o How'd that happen?
Welcome though. If you go after some jspec engine you may want to have it rebuilt just in case.... Those don't always come in good form, I've known 2 people to have theirs last maybe 1k miles before death took them. If you get a running nonturbo car you should probably drive that for a while just to get used to owning an RX7 and taking care of it.
I live in Asheboro, about 70 minutes from Charlotte, and go to college in Charlotte

I was goin about 40 through an intersection when a car ran a red light and i looked up and almost tboned him.. I slammed on breaks (no abs on my jeep either) and i flew foward and my knee knocked it into reverse and my foot slipped off the break... so yea i got owned hard core. lol You live in Asheboro? I live in Lexington! We're practically neighbors! Have you seen that red 3rd gen on highway 64 sittin on top of the hill for sale? Do you know who's car that is? Its been there for ages! Just curious if you ever go that way. yea my best friend has a 89 Supra with a 1jz twin turbo. I <3 that car with a passion. He was trying hard to get me to drop in a 1jz but.. Rotor > Piston. lol Im looking to buy a shell.. then this summer i start my full time job and will rack in about 7 grand and thats when i shall start building my baby. But between now and then my part time job will serve as a small time project fund in which i do little things to it.

Ah hah, weird. Sucks about the wreck. Wasn't the 89 Supra supposed to be the worst or something? A friend tried to convince me to buy one that was sitting in a Walmart parking lot for a long time when I was on my 7 search....
I've never drove very far west on 64, I'm not sure where the FD is. But I don't believe I've seen one hehe.
