At 1 PM this afteernoon, please give a moment of silence for a fallen rotary enthusiast. One of my close friends was killed last week Weds. He had just dropped off a basket of supllies to a field crew in Pennsylvania. Shortly after that his hellicopter crashed and he was lost. I hadn't heard from him in about a week, so I contacted some mutual friends to learn of the tradgedy. I will miss him quite a bit.
Due to my late learning of this I cannot attend his services that are today in Las Vegas. So I am performing my own at 1PM. If you are the praying type, please say a prayer for Jon.
Ill miss you buddy!!

Dave sorry to hear of the loss of your friend and our rotary brother.
Speaking of rotary brothers and sisters, everyone go check out the thread for the OGTA Lakehouse meet at Crit's here: https://www.rx7club.com/se-rx-7-forum-35/ogta-se-regional-lakehouse-meet-854205/
So far, Dave is the only one from the x-roads group to add his name to the list. Who is going to caravan down with him?

I Hope I am not the only one to come down. But I can tote the load for the X-Roads NC crew.
I am going to have a full black interior for a FB for sale soon. Everything but the dash The headliner is in bad shape, and the doors could use some work as well. Other than that it is pretty sweet. Full black carpet, bins, panels, etc.. Let me know if anyone has any pre-sale requests.

Dave, sorry to hear about your friend, he and his family will be in our prayers.
Man just found out that the lake house party is on my Saturday to work. Sucks but not going to be able to make it this time but I plan on going to the Road Atlanta PDX when it rolls around. I think this time Amy is going to also bring her car. Guess I need 2 helmets LOL

Thanks for the thoughts on my buddy.
There is a PDX at Carolina Motosports park on 8-15-09. I may try to get the FB ready for that. Probably not though. But I am at least going to try to get down and watch the race. It is a 8 hour enduro Sept. 12th there is a PDX at Rockingham. I am definetly trying to do that one and for sure the RA PDX in November we talked about.
If you are going to get serious about driving I would go ahead and get the SA 2005 rated helmet. and NOT the M 2005 helmets. You will need the SA rating later on, spend once
http://www.saferacer.com/g-force-pro...productid=1841
A starting line Budget helmet. But remember what you are putting inside it and spend accordingly.
my choice is going to be:
http://www.saferacer.com/simpson-sup...productid=1042
Also remember to think of a head and neck provision on the helmet if needed.

^as everyone else is, sorry to hear about your friend. It always sucks to lose people we care about.....on to other news, I have cleaned up my wiring on my white rx....waiting on my clamps to get here for my fmic to be complete....good thing I had everything apart because one of my omp lines was broken right at the nipple on the housing....so I need one of those, an efan setup, an fd tps harness plug, and some nice seats....if anyone has any of these I have a buttload of 2nd gen parts laying around....( ; )

WTF? Why not get the speedway bandit if your going to spend that kind of money...its just a few dollars more.....I have a regular bandit from 8 years ago when I raced karts....I have to say that the voyager was the best helmet I had as far as visability goes....it looks like the g-force is the same but without the brand name...simpson always has made the best helmets...plus if you crack it, they give you a new one....dont ask me how I know..

I actually ment to link to the standard Bandit.
I like the BELL Br-1 as well. Good viewing field. For me it will really depend on which one I can wear my glasses with comfortably.
I have a set of SS OMP lines that I used on my FD before I PRe-mixed. I can let those go fairly cheap. PM me if intrested.

I'll have to check them to be sure, But I think they are in non cracked shape. We may be able to work something out. I'll need spare engine parts. And if you want the entire interior, PM me with some ideas and I'll get a value in mind.

dave i'm sorry about your friend, i'm not the praying type but he'll be in my thoughts.
i think my grounding problem is finally fixed, don't know what i did, since i'd already cleaned and re-tightened the grounds and all the wiring a couple of times, yesterday i re-did all that, and even added an extra ground with no actual improvement, but today everything seemed great, it rained for a while so i had the lights/wiper/blower/ turn signals, and the lowest i saw was 12.5, i guess it was just about that time of the month for that sumbitch lol
hopefully i'll have some Tokico HP's to put in by the weekend or early next week. I'm starting to get a bit excited now that most of the little **** has been fixed and its time to start "upgrading" lol.

So i was driving the FB the other day and got this nasty clank when I hit a bump in a slow speed turn. Started looking around and the factory 28 year old drag link finally gave in. The steering bar would flex about 3-4 inches. On the way home from the parts store I noticed a "floating" feeling when doing higher speed left turns. The new piece is way beefier than the stock piece. Even has greasable fittings Awsome. Steering should be pretty damn tight when i drive it next.
Stu-Tron: My vents are in excellent shape. 100.00 dollars for each one... PM me for the " real" price

Thank to Andre and Stu for going to Asheville today to pick up the GSL-SE. Interior is freekin awsome. Outside, needs a paint job. So far, just looking over the car, it has a new battery, tires, shocks, catalytic converter, muffler, and fuel pump laying in the passenger seat. I have to reinstall the fuel tank and put the new fuel pump in. Hopefully that will take care of it.
Dave, sorry to here about your friend. It's always tuff loosing someone close.

Ooops! Sorry about that Josh. I had a long day yesterday. I did get the SE fired up today. I took the gas tank to Statesville radiator to get it cleaned. I have a temporary tank on it now I dumped about a half quart of ATF in the intake. Fired up on the second try. Smoked like a freakin freight train, but soon cleared up. The alternator wasn't charging, but I have a couple of spares. Went ahead and swapped it out. Car runs pretty dang good. It has 127K on the clock. Hopefully the engine will last a good while. Anywho, got a couple of pics.
