Euthinization is a for of suicide. I'm really too dumb to think my life means enough to dramatically end it.

O, is it too late for me to sign up for Steve Kan????

nicely done for a DIY project - throw some high density foam around the edges and in the circle and your set.

wait what does high density foam around the edges and the small opening do? does that further reduce the amount of heat affecting the intake?

can someone chime in for me?

it says N350 Pressure Sensor.

It keeps your fingers safe from jagged sheet metal
Is your buddy in the heating/air biz? I used to use those tools and materials when I was, long ago.

My guess would be intake air temp but I dunno. I have a sensor in a similar place on my PT, putting a resistor in there tricks the ecu into thinking the incoming air is very cold and it adjusts timing and fuel delivery accordingly.

well the n350 is written on the air pump as well...soo...

nah my friend had the tin laying around. i cut myself today sooo high density foam would be a plus.

does anyone happen to know if the 3 bolts near the air pump secure it to the water pump?

i usued styrofoam board and wrapped it in heat wrap for my shielding. very plyable and easy to trim to shape. plus styrofoam is used for coolers to keep cold in so why not use it to keep hot out?

that pressure sensor is exactly what it says, pressure sensor. on a turbo car its a boost/map sensor. the n350 means that is it for an S5 NA. and those 3 bolts you were talking about do hold the airpump in. rip that bitch out!!!

thats only on S4's. S5's the 5/6 ports are actuated by the exhaust. when i took the airpump off of my car (when it was na) it was s4, so i just wired them open all the time. lost a little low end torque, but i didnt have much to beging with!!! you shouldnt have anything to worry about.

backwards... S4 = exhaust backpressure, S5 = electronically controlled press from the air pump.

The best system would have been solenoids...
